OA kits

I need to get a sense of the kits people use so I can reduce the ammo box content as much possible. This may help further reduce crashes. I may take out the M107 and Javelins BTW (they are too devastating for these AOs)

 

For example I use

 

M107(TWS)+12mags (will switch to the M110 TWS)

Mk16 Mk4CQT + 2MG36mags

MAAWS+4HEAT

PDWSD

 

What do you guys use.

I would love to have DMR back,

M110 is my main weapon

I don't like this thermal sights.

Mk17 sniper SD was my first weapon of choice in OA but its bugged

I carry M240 time to time

MAAWS+4HEAT is only option for non guided AT

 

Can we have more infantry in AO's?

 

Personally i would eliminate all thermal gun sights weapons,

Live

107 with NV not TWS

110 regular and SD

Mk16 , with :optics and 203, SD

M240 with scope

MAAWS

stingers

one handgun

 

and DMR :)

I use:

 

107 TWS full ammo (back)

Mk16 TWS - MG36 mags

MAAWS - 3 or 4 rockets

Satchels

 

If a CQB should happen, I would use a rifle w/ scope and opportunity to switch optics to CQB (TWS can t)

 

I can try other stuff, but I like this.

 

About the Thermal vision, I like it alot, for a couple of reasons:

 

1 - enemy AI is merciless and awful precise shooting from long distance - bugged or not, I don t care if AI knows where I am anyway, what I know is that they are very good at killing me. With thermal finally I can see them.

 

2 - If these thermal scopes are real ( I mean, if they work similar to the real ones) and they are available, I don t see why should not use them. I do not have experience with real thermal scopes on real weapons. If you believe they behave unreal, remove them.

 

3 - Having thermal does not necessarely means you are 100% safe. It happens to me pretty often that also if I hit the target, the game does not register the hit. At 300 mtr I fired 5 107 shots at an insurgent before finally he went down. This is happening quite sometimes. Majority of times 1 shot = 1 kill. However, maybe Lag or else, a very accurate shot in this game not always means an accurate kill.

 

With that said, Thermal just balances either bugs or else, making the game more playable and a bit less frustrating.

Using Bravo Squad leader:

 

MK17 EGLM RCO

4x MK17 mags

5x HE M203

1x Red Smoke M203

1x Red Smoke grenade (rather orange)

1x Laser Designator & Battery

1x MAAWS

 

 

Depending on mission at the time configs:

 

A)2x C4 & 1x HEDP

B)1x HEAT, 1x HEDP, & C4

C)2xHEAT & 1x HEDP

 

Seems OA glitches on next respawn or revive and will be equipped with backpack in addition to launcher on back, so I end up using the stated configs and either supplement Satchels, HEAT or HEDP as backup.

I usually carry:

 

M110 TWS (I may swap out for the Mk 17 sniper variant, haven't tried it yet)

12x Mk 17 mags (I know you're trying to reduce the number of items in the ammo box, but I would love some tracer rounds here)

MAAWS

2x HEAT

2x HEDP

2x Satchels

M1911 (For fun)

8x 1911 mags

 

I'm curious about the ammo box issue. Are you trying to reduce the total number of items or the number of unique items? If it's total items maybe we can cut down on the number of mags and bump the ammo bow refill time to compensate.

My load out is as follows:

 

M107(TWS)W/12 Mags

Mk16 Mk4CQT W/2 MG36 Mags

MAAWS W/3 Heat Rockets

Satchel

PDWSD W/8 Mags

 

I think the TWS makes it easier but again we are playing it on either regular or normal. Why not upping the game a bit by increasing the AI difficulty? Thermal exists in the real world but I do agree that the thermal in the game does not react appropriately in day light conditions.
