Hi there,

 

As the other thread related to your impressions is starting reporting bugs as well, I though it would be better for our Admins to have a thread dedicated to bugs only.

 

Concerning the Ammobox bug:

 

To me it looks like is related to a sort of trigger. I have been playing on the server the very first day. We were only 3 at that time and there were no issue, then I was alone and I had no issue for about 1 hour (then i disconnected, but no isses).

I died several times being alone and I ccessed the Ammobox at base and at MHQ with no problems.

 

Then yesterday, ppl started having that problem. I was on the server. On my first connection to the server I had no problem to open the ammobox at base and at MHQ, but then, when ppl stated crashing, I had the problem with them.

 

So, it looks like as soon as the first player triggers the issue, then it becomes an issue to everyone.

 

I don t know how much this can help, but I tried :)

Description

 

Quite a few of us got this while playing Domination. Every time We opened the ammobox the game fps would drop and it would freeze or completely lock up. Its repeatable and happened to some but not all of us. After some tries I found it was possible to evade the crash by quickly pressing "g" as the frames dropped

 

Haven't tried the 'G' fix yet, will try it tomorrow

I changed the version on the server to 2.16, but that didnt work.

 

It is interesting to note that you can easily enter the D30 ammoboxes created at the AO with no problems.

 

I can change the server to run with stock ammo boxes, the modify them to carry a lot of gear. Add Ammo dumps around the map

 

I can also stuff the MHQs/choppers with a lot of gear

 

The problem is all of that eventually runs out,

I think we need to run tests while removing parts from the ammobox see when it is stable i'm sure somthing in causing the problem , ammo from air drop is fine but it's another version and pretty limited one, maybe add more content to the air drop one.

Xalxen , Mh6,Kav can you go over the fresh rpt file i copied after game crash from ammobox

see if you can understand whats the problem.

If I recall, this code is not on the ammobox - its part of the vehicle repair pads, either from a land or air asset. Looks like a semicolon is missing in there somewhere.

Yeah. I already looked at my .rpt after I got the ammobox crash (only time it ever happened to me) and could find no errors which could pinpoint the cause. There may be something in the server .rpt, but I doubt it.

There is a problem with the Mk17 7.62 magazines, it wont go in the backpack.

 

If a person gets the Rifle and a full load out of ammo and then, puts the gun in backpack using scroll menu, the gun will go in backpack but, the ammo won't.

 

The 7.62 magazines for the 110 Rifle will load to backpack. I haven't tried any other Rifles with 7.62 magazines, so I don't know if any of them have the same problems.

Yesterday on TacDom server had 3 freezes and kick in a row at the ammobox in base.

 

I thought that problem was solved. It happened when trying to load Maaws with rockets.

Up to standard rifles, magazines, and other accessories, I had no probl. As soon as i was loading the Maaws, freeze and kick.

Up to standard rifles, magazines, and other accessories, I had no probl. As soon as i was loading the Maaws, freeze and kick.

This is a stock version of dom2 2.24 zeno did not twick it like 2.14 and up so the problem might appear again, also the freez happens only when it's raining at the current location of the box (or when you set the box next to trrain that cuases for drop of fps like big rocks) due to drop of fps .

you can avoid it by entering the box if you it's freezes press "G" Immediately and wait for the rain to stop or move the box from where you set it.

There are a few more problems you need to know like not able to repair choppers at repair pad.

Not able to fire inside the parameters of flagpole at base(it's like you're shooting blanks).

I tried to do Tac Dom with no luck. I could get into the server and run to the box at main base and lockup....5 times in a row without being able to move the slider down to select a weapon. Heres the flow chart of me entering TacDom: Type in PW----->See the DOMINATION entering text-------->View from above as the view zooms into my character at the spawn area of MB---------->Run to Ammo Box----------->Hit the G key---------->Open gear selection and lockup--------->Kicked by Battle eye for lack of response to server--------> Shut down game--------> Restart OA------->Repeat above.

I have same.

Somehow only dropped ammo boxes gve me this error, not this one at base.

Also i was kicked out of the server, to server selection screen most of the time.

Is there correlation between number of amno boxes used on the map to number of crashes?

Somehow it kick me out more often after couple AO's taken.

 

Also whats going on with this "run as administrator" thing?

It start this weekend and i had no such a problem before.
