My setup so far - for Black shark

Recommended Posts

£25 Quadrant by saitek (windows see's it as another joystick)

£22 Commander pad by saitek

Credits go to Cobol for the Quadrant & Saitek button commander idea,

the only thing I did diffrent is I wrapped black insulation tape around the

commanders lower half and then applied epoxy resin glue to it and stuck it to the quadrant.

The result is left to dry for 1 hour (epoxy sets fast) then I wrapped some more tape around

the lower section of the commander & to the quadrant.

Underneath the quadrant levers are a bank of switches (next to the green LED.)

which I use for fire extinguishers (programed by cobol with X52 pro software.

Ready to fly.

The next stage is to mark all the buttons & modes with twin coloured tape.

This will show the flight mode/ combat mode & navigation modes.

Cobol's original concept idea !!!

I was think of that, putting a Left & Right to flick pages on the screen using ether buttons on the screen, or on the joystick POV, or on the mouse wheel depending what game you playing at the time.

Thats a bit like the belkin gamepad I use the thumb button has three positions giving triple the options.

No wonder you have gone label mad I thought of making a printout of my gamepad and it only has 20 odd buttons.

Also to add a note, As new games come out, I am sure the R & D team of sparta will be developing all sorts of goodies for these little devices.

Screens, I did not do these, They are created to a guy on the touch buddy forum, I just resized em for my screen, and adjusted layout a bit.

... MIMO display (Korea only, for now) seems like just the ticket. A small, 7" LCD that connects to your computer as an additional monitor via a spare USB port, the MIMO is surprisingly cheap. The basic, screen-only version is only $78, where as the more advanced UM-750 features a touchscreen, TV tuner and built-in webcam for only $147. Keeping my fingers crossed that this hits the States... and by the time it does, it adds in Mac support. MIMO [Funshop Korea via Technabob]

That little widget looks like it might be real handy to have around.

Hate to pay the post from the U.K. but......

I'll see if I can talk myself out of it......but I doubt it. :)

With all of these USB devices I hope the next generation of Mobo's have more ports on them....a lot more.
