  1. In a few hours on the NA server, the USN cruiser line will be realigned starting at T-6. There are things you can do to profit with the split, such as making sure you have captains assigned to the ship (so they will be duplicated), etc. Googling for advice on how to prepare will give you several recommendations on how to profit from it. https://www.reddit.com/r/WorldOfWarships/comments/7aaumf/uscruiser_split_what_to_buy_to_prepare_for_it_if/
  2. I am. Yes, there are some fine zoom mods. XVM is still functioning as always. My favorite way of adding mods is via aslain.com His modpack downloader includes a preview window that lets you see a sample of each possible mod, as there are oodles of options. Elvis
  3. Two nights in a row. Tonight with Cy and Direwolf. Lots of fun.
  4. Had a great time with 3 of us for 3 hours or more, hoping for more. Look for me again tomorrow night!
  5. Motivated to get active in clan gaming again....

  6. I'm on the NA server of World of Warships every night from about 9:30 Eastern as Elvis_ Will get on TS now that I know others are playing. I'm currently with the WOLFX group, which isn't a clan as far as actually interfacing with other people, we just sign up for the oil bonuses. If LOSC is going to be active, I'll switch there so we can bundle our resources. Hope to see you soon.
  7. Warships every night, NA server, name Elvis_, affiliated with the phony 10th lone wolf clan (not really a clan, just an affiliation to get oil and bonuses.)
  8. Let's play warships, I'm on about every night from 9:30 Eastern to 1 a.m.
  9. I've been really bad about staying in touch. Thanks all for the birthday wishes. I hope you're all in good health and spirits, and hope to talk on TS soon....
  10. Happy Birthday kiddo. Look me up when you can order off the senior menu, we'll do lunch.
  11. Club.UBI via Ubisoft.com is celebrating their Ubisoft's 30th Anniversary and offering Tom Clancy's: Splinter Cell (PC Digital Download) for Free. https://club.ubi.com/#!/en-GB/ubi30
  12. Ah the good old days. Back in the 90s I worked at Lake Mead National Recreation Area, near Las Vegas, and also near Nellis Air Force Base. So on moonlit nights after midnight we'd head out to Northshore Road, fire up the radar, and roll down the windows in order to hear them coming. You could see the headlights coming for miles, and hear them about as far. Yes, every fighter jock that ever watched Top Gun had a need for speed. Our cars would do about 125 and we chose areas where the roads were relatively straight. Some times you'd get them, some times you wouldn't. Using multiple cars helped. People tended to run less with lights in front of them and lights in back. I never would get much above 110 at night as the risk wasn't worth it, but usually didn't need to. Yes, some copped and attitude for reasons unknown, but when I would tell them the direct phone number of the base commander's office by memory, they decided it was much easier to shut up and take the ticket than to yak on, get a ticket, and have to visit the colonel. The ones that thought they had gotten away were often met at the gates of the base, then had to visit the colonel. The desert at midnight is a relatively much safer place to ride than the road in this video. Most people don't know that Nevada has the largest population of wild horses in the country -- over 25,000. Really, really, really scary to have one of them run in front of you in the middle of the night.
  13. I really need to visit the forums more often. Thanks for the good words. We ought to find an online game that we like and play it together sometime.
  14. VW is too important for Germany, so it won't fail. Different cast of characters, but it won't go away. Came quite close to buying a TDI a few years ago.
  15. Lagavulin 16. You can smell the smoke and the peat, unless you're dead. It's a classic, a favorite and I had a dram last night. Went through 1.75 liters of Glenmorangie in February. Great experience. Across the whisky/ey spectrum, favorites include: Makers 46, Old Forester Birthday Bourbon, Four Roses Small Batch, Basil Hayden's, Crown Royal XO. Tonight is a dram of Elijah Craig 12yo. My liver hates me.
  16. Having had to commute over secondary roads at an elevation of 10,000 feet in winter, I'll vouch for the Subaru all wheel drive, especially paired with winter tyres.
