adder360~SPARTA~ Posted October 4, 2011 Share Posted October 4, 2011 (edited) well its been a while but ive finaly desided i gotta do an upgrade cos im sick of just doing stuff on my laptop to day my new case arived today Cooler Master HAF 922 ive put an extra 200mm fan in and moved the rear 120mm tot he floor cos i will be puting cooler in that slot, got keyboard/mouse/headset/ montor all ready so just the inside shizz been doing some reserch and well this is wat ive come up with Intel Core i7 960 3.20Ghz (Nehalem) (Socket LGA1366 EVGA GeForce GTX 560Ti DS SuperClocked 1024MB GDDR5 OCZ Agility 3 120GB 2.5" SATA-3 Solid State Hard Drive Asus X58 Sabertooth TUF Intel X58 (Socket 1366) DDR3 Corsair Vengeance 12GB (3x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz (still desiding on that as im a bit consernd about it only say 1.5v but the mobo is 1.65?) Donziboy2 Posted October 4, 2011 Share Posted October 4, 2011 The difference between the 1366 i7-960 and the 1155 i7-2600k is about $15 and the performance difference is the cost savings between the 2600k and the I7 990x Extreme edition. To bad the 2011 Highend 2nd gens arent out yet. 6 core 12 threads and 4 channel DDR3. But im sure it will replace the $1k i7 990x. Everything else looks good.
