NoScream~SPARTA~
Do you need a laptop? seeing Durka bought a pad, what are your main uses/ aims for the device? I ask as tech is changing and so are people with the way they are used. A laptop (power laptop) is ok for mobile desktop system, but if your looking for things like school/collage, reading, internet surfing, storing files, editing word docs, playing YT, listening to music, viewing pictures.... look at a PAD. Main advantages of pads are: Light weight, vibrant displays, portability, lower power requirements, flexibility of tasks. A laptop needs it's brick power supply 90% of the time, it's heavier, it's bigger & it has more things you need to carry... or look at a hybrid laptop / pad. NoScream~SPARTA~
Looks like they reduced the number of live links to YT you can make in a post... Doh... Site still slow as a dog Woof !! But leave crazy animated sigs.
Donziboy2
How about these? Newegg allows you to do custom search's and they have a ton of laptops, have a look around ;) The 460m and 560m are both first class cards, the 560m is a newer version of the 460m so its only about 10% or so faster. Skaz~SPARTA~
I want something that is good for college, and can play arma 3, doesnt need to be top notch fps, but at least playable at full hd. Btw, I'm moving to Canada at the end of the month, so I need whatever place I buy to ship to canada. I dont feel like going with apple, they are overpriced and have shitty gpus. I did like the Asus', they have decent reviews. Regarding MSI, are they a good deal? Padwise I already purchased a Toshiba Thrive.

PvtHopscotch
I have to back the Asus route. I've personally never owned one but 2 guys I was deployed with had G series laptops and they had nothing but good things to say about em. Plus there's something to be said about how cool they look. My .2c is as a personal preference I've always gotten my laptops built by Cyberpower PC and my latest from them is an amazing machine but I usually suggest them or any of the custom build sites to people who are looking for a new mid-high gaming laptop. You can build some good rigs and the price is reasonable and they don't to come with a bunch of bloatware crap like what the big name company's rigs tend to. Skaz~SPARTA~
The thing is I need it to be portable, to take to and from work. I can't haul everyday a 17inch weighing in like 25pounds. thats why i'd like the g53. I would be great if they had a new 15 inch model laptop with the 560m gpu

HAMMERJ
Yes I too am looking for new gaming pc and would like to get a laptop for my abundance of out of town work. I am looking heavily at the asus g74 sx. any opinions on the expected lifespan of this laptop? as in , will it run current games on the highest graphic qualities as well as how hard is it to upgrade the graphics cards and processors? or would I truly be better off dropping 2 grand on desktop. mid you I would then have to include monitor, keyboard mouse. right now my rig is coolermaster ammo case amd dualx2 6400 3ghx? xp 32 bit.(yeah i know big duh on me) 850 watt psu g15 keyboard . and radeon 4900hd? mobo msi but from 2006. thanks Guys glad to see the Legion is still going Strong.
