Yes that connection. It will be a deffinitive test to isolate the location of the issue. If the problem contenues to happen with the switch dissconnected it is NOT the switch... unless there are multiple causes for this problem in which case it MIGHT be switch (unlikely).

I bet you have tried this but do what I call base building. Start with MINIMUM hardware only. keyboard monitor mouse and 1 video card disconnect all non essental hardware (usb, fire wire,sound) Go back to the BIOS and look and see what the defaults are.
