  1. I can't believe that Vii is trying to overclock his car - - - - - -
  2. good games last night - note to myself to duck a little more often - enjoyed doing the side missions and thought the no re-spawn provided sufficient tension to up the involvement in team-work - thanx to all
  3. Ya don't get that spec on a company motor, enjoy.......watch for the gatso
  4. sorry I am late , hope you had a grrrrrreat day !
  5. awesome Cobol, that is a veritable museum of 8 bit machines, I loved identifying the ones I played with, Dragon32 Acorn....my first paid job was as a saturday boy working in a computer store where we had one for display and none to sell the customers ( I fell in lust with a Lynx at that time) Your pub will become a mecca
  6. Durka, I have an attchment to Dai's post with a file for you, your 8bit drawings are funny - just need a Pacman in there
  7. Durka, hold onto that though for a couple of months and you will be rewarded with a deep choice of tablet PC's with a size to suit and all the compatibility that you yearn for in a package that provides functionality over style for a small screen running android 2.2, with a screen size you can hold in one hand http://shop.vodafone.co.uk/shop/mobile-broadband-devices/samsung-galaxy-tab With a reversable keyboard http://www.hp.com/hpinfo/newsroom/press_kits/2008/connecting/ds_cn_tx2500z.pdf etc etc, Lets get real on what it is that these machines are useful for, I want one with a simcard so I can access my email using 3G and will connect to WiFi as a matter of course. I want to port media around to entertain me without DRM. I want it to take any peripherals via USB and have a card reader, it also needs to have a front and back facing camera so I can viddeo conference. The battery life needs to be 8 hours for long distance travel.....okay this sounds like a rant ....or my christmas shopping list, but I can't be restricted or charged a fortune for some oink to tell me what I can and can't do with the tech - cos I'll go seek out a company that will give me the freedom I want and develop my own way of using the machine. Durka - well said mate, thay can take their i-restrict-pad and use it to wow the kids.
  8. Just a thought for everyone connected directly or indirectly to the events of 9/11 and the continuing actions being taken by the countries involved in the war on terror. Amen
  9. I enjoyed last night's games, and thanks first Grizzley and then Medic for taking my SL role as my whispers were messed up [note to myself to sort this soonest] We seem to have adopted a procedure for using coloured smoke to mark the teams' positions - but I couldn't deploy as I had to select white first...there must be a way of selecting the cloured stuff when you need it, in thinking now I should have dropped the white on the ground doh! - this doesn't stop Blue on Blue but helps at long distance. Luggage did a sterling job as MC, did he get too close and get slotted LOL. Thanks to all who make these nights enjoyable.
  10. I hope to be on at that time and if so would like to join.
  11. Great video, and that tech would be very welcome. I was speaking to a Sony guy the other day and he reckons in 20 years the screens will be gone and we will have holographic images for TV, sounds like SCI-FI to me, however I am always pleased to see new tech, not just new packaging of old tech.
  12. if I could send this down to the kitchen and it could fly up a fresh cup of coffee, I would have a use for it, great toy
  13. good video, - nice resolution. This good team work comes as standard on our servers, it is not an optional extra ;-D
  14. what an inspiriation, great work, thx 4 sharing it
  15. The NLaw id an awesome weapon, I haven't missed yet. I agree that it is fire and forget, as it has it's own targetting system, but it isn't a disposable weapon. From the start the AT soldier gets a launcher and two missiles, you can reload the launcher. Will be patient for the code to be updated - no pressure.
  16. Are there reloads for the NLAW available, I don't see them on the script, if you take the AT slot, you get one launcher and two missiles. But I don't seem to be able to find a reload?
  17. That's good advice Zath, it needs to be discussed with your family Athlon, ignore what we say as it is worth squat when compared to your family views. Just don't be put off by what you see in the media - they wouldn't be runnung it if it wasn't sensational and normal days - which the majority are - just aren't newsworthy.
  18. as a PS, Alcohol and live ammuniation don't mix and therefore the majority of the forces are dry, smoking is allowed in designated areas, as the rest of the world.
  19. Athlon, to set your mind at rest, and this is a view from 2010, my top 10 advice. 1. You will not ever be allowed to leave the base. 2. Bagram, Kabul and Kandahar are very well set-up with force protection, the only likely threat is from IDF, which is infrequent and light. 3. The bases are very well set up with recreational facilities, you will only get bored during your downtime if you want to be. 4. You will be doing a job that is worthwhile, is part of the NATO effort, and is an opportunity of a lifetime. 5. Communications are getting better there are WiFi hotspots and telephone cards [AT&T isn't great]. 6. You will spend nothing, the food is great with many choices. 7. You will be issued with all the equipment required for personal safety and will be trained to cope with the dangers associated with the location. 8. You will work with a great team, there is nothing like a little adversity to bring out the best in people. 9. The airports are some of the busiest, and OMG you see and play with some fantastic equipment. 10. 12 months of life enrichment
  20. Sorry I missed that post Athlon, very informative. I have viewed the 3D TV personally and was impressed.
