First impression after about 6 battles: Game is fun, but controls feel sluggish. Even when using a joystick, there is a delay between input (moving joystick) and output (the plane responding). I have no deadzone set on my joystick, so I'm wondering if maybe they have an internal deadzone (which you cannot modify in settings). Most battles result in circle-strafing once there are only a handful of planes left, and this can go on for some time.
