I am after a gaming pad and a gaming mouse, after searching about for a few days I've come down to a few options.. Any suggestions as other options, some thing you may use, some thing I may have missed in the game mouse and game pad search?? My budget calls for $120ish to $140ish.. Rooster90 Posted July 5, 2011 Share Posted July 5, 2011 Gamepad: no idea what that is, so no opinion from me. Mouse: Without a doubt the RAT 7. Completely customizable to fit your hand, amazing DPI, great look, and corded. Wireless mouses are something of an unnecessary risk to me. Maybe my fears are unwarranted, but the last thing I'd want is to have to worry about charging my mouse mid-game. The Orochi has a corded option, but everything else about it is pretty meh. I personally own a Death Adder and it works fantastic, but if I could get a RAT 7 I would in a heartbeat. Nothing but good things from that mouse. Its nice and it fits the hand very well the buttons are bigger than your standard keyboard and the screen is nice for displaying computer info, Temps, CPU load, fraps and the time it has a stopwatch to!....I think. It works well in standard games that don't require the whole keyboard like ARMA. I used it to play half life and similar style games. Watchman~SPARTA~ Posted July 6, 2011 Share Posted July 6, 2011 I have the Nostromo T52e, in fact it's my second as I upgraded from the original Belkin T50 (which is still working perfectly for my daughter). I don't honestly think I could ever move away from this for FPS. It's been perfect for every game I play, including ARMA. As for a mouse, I have a G5 with my laptop but to be honest this rarely sees any gaming action. For the desktop I used to run a Copperhead which was smooth, fast and ticked all the boxes: then one weekend, late on a Sunday it went completely bonkers, as in not responding 100% of the time and dpi settings changing at random. With literally 40 minutes until shop closing and a Clanbase match that evening, I shot off to PC World (in the days when they didn't stock any real gaming mice) and ended up with a wireless Microsoft 6000 and I haven't looked back since! It gives a bettery life warning well ahead of them running flat so I've never been caught mid-game with mouse failure and aside from a bit of the soft feel coating rubbing away it's as good as when purchased, roughly 4 years ago. custard~SPARTA~ Posted July 6, 2011 Share Posted July 6, 2011 I'm on my second Belkin n52 (Razor Nostromo) and they have both been outstanding but when the one I'm using breaks I was thinking of the G15 LOL.
