Shooting Range Mission

Zeno has put the Shooting Range mission I've ported to Takistan on a server.

 

So you can practice

 

Rifle Ranges from 50M out to 2100M from three shooting positions, ammo crates with Rifles and LMGs at shooting positions

 

Grenade Range with large popup targets 25M between targets, a mixture of bunkers and MG nests as targets, ammo crate with all GL weapons and frags/smoke

 

AT Range with Opfor vehicles out to 3000M +, ammo crate with launchers and two vehicles an M1A1 and a Warrior

 

All available Opfor and Blufor aircraft on the Southern Airfield

 

Blufor vehicles to play with on Northern Airfield

 

It's for six ppl at a time to practice, to move around the map just walk up to a flagpole it will teleport you to one of the ranges or go into map and left click on map to teleport anyware.

 

To do

 

Short term.

 

Place a more visible object at first and last targets on each group of targets at the Rifle Range.

Improve map markers for easier navigation

Add the rangefinders (inc batteries) to all ammo crates

Remove all players kit at spawn and inrease number to 20?

Add ACE weapons too ammo crates

Add every available vehicle

Add Scoring Target script/mod to mission, found by Dai-San

 

Mid term.

 

Add a parachute pole domination type and other parachute scripts that we use in missions (if poss)

 

Long term.

 

Add artillery kit inc mortars and build range

Add static training area + the two part carried weapons

Add AI armoured ground patrols on fixed routes as aircraft targets

Add AI air units (unarmed) as targets for both ground AA and aircraft

Add CQB training area for 2 man up to 2 full 8 man teams (probably separate mission on Zagrebad)

 

Any missing ammo and/or weapons please let me know

hey custard, would it be possible to update the shooting range with RH weapons? and any other we use in islands ace dom? thanks!

 

 

I'll have a look at it bud, I have made an ACE version on Chernarus that has a better range I'll put a RH box on that I think

 

Question for Zeno, the RH weaps download you put together is it a combination of all 8 parts of the RH stuff?

Rifle range is gonna have 4 ammo crates

RH supressed weapons

 

Combined Ops and ACE2 weapons

 

Combined Ops and ACE2 supressed weapons

 

Every available weapon will not be in these boxes, I'm not putting in weapons if they just change appearance. This should make it quicker to find the weapons you wish to play with.

 

There will however be an Armoury with various boxes containing every available weapon with these mods.

 

As soon as this is finished I will make it available Skaz.

There is a new version on the ACE TAC server

Tank Range

 

M1A1 and 3 crew with stationary empty targets and a repeating patrol of 4 vehicles (thanks Kav)

 

Halo practice flag pole (just walk up to it and scroll to Halo)

 

There are 4 areas you can 'teleport to'

 

Base

Rifle Range

Armoury (not started)

Tank Range

 

At base there are 4 flagpoles 1 is the Halo the others take you to the other areas of interest, there is a flagpole at each of the other areas that takes you to base.
