More problems with the sight adjustment mod

If you have the @GMJ_SightAdjustment folder ignore this (you will be unaffected).

If not

Download this

http://www.legionofsparta.net/downloads/Ga...tAdjustment.rar

drag @GMJ_SightAdjustment out of the rar window into the game root

Do NOT change your shortcut

The mod refers to a specific location in the root of arma, which is why those you you who already had the mod never noticed the problem (like me).

The missing folders and files have been added to the rar

GDT HDR Mod

http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=6130

- I've tried it out, and it actually fixes nightvision, also has an actionmenu calibration so you don't have to change your brightness and gamma.

GDT Grass Mod

http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=6628

- Since AI now count grass as a factor in detection, grass is useful to turn on, but the default grass is too high to see through. This can help players know when they're in grass or not, and allows effective fire out of grass cover.

Cant you just adjust your terrain detail via the options menu, if you run on very low detail you have little grass, but the enemy appear "submerged" in the ground. What other advantages does this offer.

I will add the nightvison mods if it makes night games more playable.

I wonder if it affects the AI's visibility though? It looks awesome, but I suspect it doesn't affect the AI at all and they just shoot you through it.

If you read the description on the mod page itself, "AI viewblock by default."

JTD smoke here. There was a large (20-30) group of AI on the other side of this fire and they wouldn't shoot or move through it was using ACE at the time, not sure if that had some effect on it too. Looks great with the WARFX particles too.

WarFX particles and WarFX tracers.

Both are simple mods, the particle makes explosion look better (and smoke/fire) when a GBU explodes it looks awesome. Also modifies bullet impact dirt cloud and smoke trail of missiles

WarFX tracers makes the tracers and I quote from someone that I head on a Teamspeak, makes them less look like Star Wars Blaster fire

I do have to say that WarFX Particles can slow you down FPS wise

I looked and it seems that there's a new version of the WarFX particles in the works, its suppose to fix the smoke issue at a distance (where it looks all blocky)

Skeletele, did you try the mod?

and to everyone else try it, its really nice

+1 for vopsound. The DMR and M14 sounds are dead on to real life, and the M4 is a pretty damn close approximation.

<-- Has fired his M305/M14 and an AR15 without hearing protection. Just once each and on separate occasions, but the sounds are just right.
