Zathrus~SPARTA~
Very nice looking, I think with the graphics, etc. this game is going to rock. Morgan that is a super duper circle thingy... LOL. I dunno.
Morgan
Yeah looks like a next-gen super duper ninja circle thingy... had a feeling! Heard rumors of one being in the game from my pals in MI6 and the NSA. Very hush hush stuff you know.
Durka-Durka~SPARTA~
super duper circly thingy looks to be a "personal radar." I saw them years ago in a few space flight sims.
Morgan
GR has one but I am somewhat annoyed/shocked/disappointed to see one in a game that is supposed to be realistic like ArmA1/2. Threat indicators arent exactly the sort of thing most soldiers carry around as far as I know. Perhaps it will be tied to difficulty level... maybe hard mode wont have one. MH6~SPARTA~
Realistic? I thought this game was the "next BF2", AKA not realistic whatsoever. Atleast that's what everyone says on the ArmA forums, but maybe they're just biased.
Morgan
They are just bitter cuz OFP2 is not the crap-fest they hoped it would be.
MH6~SPARTA~
They are just bitter cuz OFP2 is not the crap-fest they hoped it would be. Hehe, gotcha'. I might pick it up when its released then, looks fairly nice.
Morgan
Yeha Im getting it... I think it should be pretty awesome. If it isnt, then the whole Battlefield Simulator sub-genre of shooters could be doomed to fade away.

Wait a minute, this is coming from the same guy who can't/won't play Arma2 veteran mode because he can't see the enemy on the map!!?!?
Morgan
No this is coming from the same guy who wont drop arti on a blank map for fear of destroying many many teammates. No this is coming from the same guy who's role in regular mode includes recon and a degree of overwatch via direct observation AND via map information for plotting troop and vehicle movements, and tracking said movements so that I can A) Pass intel to squad, Make a better educated guess as to where enemy armor may currently be since the mapo is rarely exactly correct. In veteran mode, I get to play solitaire. In any case, not too impressed that you chose to pull portions of a conversation out of a PM and splash it here. Thanks. DrNo~SPARTA~
Well, apart from the wierd angle this has gone, it looks like a cool game.

Easy there, Tiger, I was just poking a little fun. No harm was meant. I thought there was nothing private about your thoughts on that mode, though, since I've heard you talk about it in TS. If I'm wrong, my sincere apologies and we'll move on from here.
PANiC
looks like Arma2 with odd colour overlays and an xbox game style interface. should be a good laugh though.
Durka-Durka~SPARTA~
Let's not get into an Arma2 vs. OFP2 thread. We have plenty of them on each developer's forums, and they're lively! EDIT: (I probably started that with the radar post, but that's what I thought it was!. I'll end it here)
NoScream~SPARTA~
Morgan ran a true statement previously in the thread, when he said http://www.legionofspartans.com/forums/ind...ost&p=33668 ;) I don't care, I know this is the game I will play.... Zathrus~SPARTA~
Shouldn't be an ARMA vs. OFP2 because they are 2 different game types. Like trying to compare GRAW or GR1 with ARMA. There are very few shared variables within the different game types for a comparison to be made.
