Good afternoon Guys, I would simply put a word telling you that I really enjoyed playing with some of you (because I don't know everyone).

I got the game last week and I played just a few times so far (for 14-15 hours each time :D ) and this Domination mission/scenario is really fun. Your server is very stable and that's fun to see at least people that helps each other and not running everywhere like headless chickens...

This is a combat simulator and BEWARE to the kiddos that think that this game is played like CoD or HALO... this is not a shooter..

You'll certaintly see me again because I usually play over 40-60 hrs a week when I'm back home and that my wife isn't planning something...

See you soon ! :clapping:

Yep - coop play is still and always be the funniest mode.

I'm from the old school Delta Force series veteran... i loved so much playing that... I loved OFP but at that time I was competing in the CPL... now I'm older and I don't have time for this anymore....

Now I'm a casual player that plays a lot....

I'm playing also a lot on my XBOX360 and PS3... but I think I'll more on my PC for the next few months..

BTW, I'm getting this.. http://www.saitek.com/uk/prod/x52.htm

I'm tired of using my mouse and keyboard for planes and choppers control. I was a flight sim fan and my CH Flightstick isn't working anymore with my Vista 64 bits... too bad, I had this joystick since 1995... and it never failed me...

Still learning this game and this "domination" mode. Last night, we weren't lucky because of the wreck glitch that we weren't able to recover the vehicle from the wreck but after several guys check this out, I felt less dumb :)

I can't wait to play again with you guys, I just came back to the office this morning after 3 weeks of vacations... too bad..

Around 450 emails were waiting for me.... :help: ... I had time to take 2 cups of tea... lol

See ya around bro -

-------------- <_<

Morgan, about Joint Ops, I tried that, but IHO Novalogic lost their way since DF3 (Land warrior) - their 3D engine was really bad and the game like BHD was full of glitch and cheaters... I know that a new Delta Force is in development from the ground up and it might be promising depending how they will invest into it. Since a couple of years, they had many restructuration inside the company of what I heard. I think this is their final end game - if the game sticks with the gamers, they will survive, but if it doesn't, I don't know how they can keep up with rival like Codemasters or BI. Even Operation Flashpoint 2 will be more arcade than ARMA 2.

I know they are working with military for some training stuff but for the broad public, I'm not sure they will sink money again.

Sometimes great ideas isn't enough - they need meat around it... a good example is Full Spectrum warrior from Pandemic. I loved that game because of the realism, but due to the difficulty and older 3D look, the game hasn't known a great success.

The concept was great and on the DVD (I played on XBOX) there was a hidden game using the same engine but made for the military. They haven't pushed the franchise more than that but they establish some good basis for an another market for them. I think Novalogic needs to come back with a strong title because they have still the name and older games (that owns the $$$) still remember the good old DF2 time... hoping that one day something big will emerge from their studios.

Hehe yeah JO is hardly bleeding edge but the gameplay is fast and furious and just really, really fun. Learning curve is minimal, and its easy to jump into a map, tear it up and have a few laughs.

The game is old, and looks old, but for sheer fun and entertainment it is tough to beat.

Yup - always the same fun. I'm gonna bring a very old friend of mine tomorrow - he's from around Chicago. We knew each other by playing the first Delta Force a way back...

I'm gonna explain him some of the basic rules and since we got both the game last week, he never tried this Domination mod/battlefield.

This new X52 joystick i got tonight improved by 200% my piloting skills.

You can call me now, the Salvage man.

:)

See you guys soon,

Ah, I dropped off last night just as you appeared, problem with timezones & work unfortunately.

I hope the battle continued apace?

That town is difficult to attack, heavily armoured but not impossible. I achieved a personal best of 7 vehicle kills, most of which were from distance, really getting used to the SMAW now but it really helped having cover fire to aid tactical withdrawls ;)

Hope to get on again tonight and cause some more carnage.
