Durka-Durka~SPARTA~ Posted April 4, 2008 Author Share Posted April 4, 2008 I have 3 gig of RAM, and when I go to the file properties, it says 3gig, but I read somewhere that windows XP only recognizes 2gb. usthomsen~SPARTA~ Posted April 4, 2008 Share Posted April 4, 2008 I havn´t read the thread but xp can run 4gb of total ram, wich means your installed ram including the ram on your graphicscard. Installed ram: 2048mb Graphicscard 8800GTX: 768mb Total : 2816mb This means that u can install another stick of 1184 mb Conclusion: U can always install 3 gigs of ram on xp and have them all at your disposal Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Zeno~SPARTA~ Posted April 5, 2008 Share Posted April 5, 2008 In laymans terms, because thats all I am, as I undertand it, Xp sees 4 gb of memory, which includes video audio and ram.
