looks arcade to me, although if you have multiplayer options as mentioned by Dai-San (2 players in the same heli), it'd be fun. (graphics don't look that good either)

hi guys, eventhough it was short (for me at least), enjoyed flying and thanks again T_1 for hosting. fyi, of the total of 2 hours (at max) of flying lock-on, had my first landing (F-15, online .... needed 2 attempts though). oh right, and killed 2 helicopters as well (lucky, as I hadn't pulled the trigger before ... so had to "guess" my buttons) ~salute~

that was my first joystick (back in Brazil). loved it. then wanted sometihng more "real" ... moved to the X45 (loved it). then I wanted separate pedals. moved to the X52 (pro later-on, on a sale). flying with it ever since.

damn Batwing, you got things figured out. by any chance have some visual updates as well (as per attached for example)? I -myself- have an X52 pro + rudder peddals (+ trackIR)

I fly IL2 still every possible time (I try at least once a week). graphics aren't that bad, but I'm not used to lock-on graphics either. obviously you cannot compare the realism in il2 with falcon, though I'm giving it a try quite some info & training vids available and sofar I'll be trying it out with 3 other (il2-)pilots next monday if anyone interested, I can try to convince them to join spartan's teamspeak

not sure about steam. personally I'm in favor of the history mod. I'd make 2 folders after updating with the official patches (4.09) --> then you update the mods each in a separate folder. a smple rename of your root folder allows you to switch between the mods.

go for the history mod, most of us in HL are using it. I put the link some posts up

you actually mentioned one of the (additional) beauties of IL2. you mainly have mature people playing this game, especially when the realism is turned up a notch. again, nothing beats a good coop. though go looking for the right mods. download hyperlobby and you'll see on an average (US) afternoon/evening there are at least 700+ people flying online. will be online at 10 pm GMT+1 under " 51stfis_Slick " Salute !

it's the only game I still play. Graphics are still ok ... afterall it's the gameplay that counts, right?

works perfectly on Vista 64-bit. according to our friends at AAA, it works on windows 7 as well. just make sure you run it as administrator and with some people it seems necessary to just put it in your C-drive let me know once installed and up and running

damn, couldn't make it anymore y'day. will have the week of Christmas off, though my sister in law will be arriving on Saturday, so I'll try to make it at night next week. S!
