  1. Sorry I missed it bro, took me a day to find your kind of woman...
  2. Saw a video for this awhile back. Don't think they had the space aspect in the last video I saw, though. Doesn't look very promising... 11 days to get about £36,000.
  3. Been getting emails for weeks from Verizon saying their new "speed match" was coming soon so that my upload would match my download. I was on a 75/35 plan but typically was getting about a 30mbps upload. Got the notification today that they finally rolled out the upgrade on my plan, checked it out speedtest.net, here was my result: Not quite matching, but a decent upgrade... also can't complain since it was free. Any other FiOS users get their upgrade yet?
  4. Trolls will be trolls. I do agree with practicing more, though. But I'd say that is a generally good rule for anyone who owns and especially carries a weapon. The grouping could be better, but you didn't buy that pistol to be a match weapon. I'd be more inclined to say the exact opposite of Athlon. Practicing even at 15 yards for conceal carry purposes is pointless. Even with Florida laws, I'd imagine shooting someone that far away could be tricky to defend with "stand your ground". I'd suggest more close range targets, quick draw-and-acquire drills, and practicing your draw from the various outfits you will normally be wearing with the weapon. Those are far more pertinent to your intent. Also, if you'll be carrying while out with the wife and kids, I'd highly suggest developing and rehearsing a plan with them if a situation were to unfold while they were present. (ie: making sure they know where you carry, how their position relative to you could hinder your draw, making sure they don't freeze in the moment in a position between you and the "bad guy", etc) Just things to think about.
  5. Nice choice. I was going to buy the XDM .45 for my in-the-nightstand weapon but the wife didn't like how it felt in her hand so we ended up going with the FN FNX 9mm. Since it was "her" first weapon, she was a little intimidated by the .40's and .45's. I don't mind, just gives me an excuse to buy another one later on for myself. Haha. I've also been browsing choices for my conceal carry weapon since we've moved down here to Florida - first place I've lived I've had the option to conceal carry. Haven't decided on one yet, though. Being a short and skinny guy makes it difficult to conceal carry in typical Florida attire.
  6. If you've been waiting to check this game out, this weekend is a prime opportunity.
  7. Also, happy birthday to the one who hates the attention and doesn't put his birthday on his profile.......
  8. Happy birthday, gents. I don't know how we keep making it another year without getting tired of each other, but here's to us.
  9. In Windows 7 they call it "Network Address", but same thing as the older "local administered address", but yes that is where I manually put a MAC address in. I was not aware the MAC could be wiped, either. Like I said, really can't explain that one. I did not do a BIOS reset, I don't even recall seeing that option while I was in there. Everything seems to be back to normal at the moment, we'll see if it lasts or if I start running into random issues down the line.
  10. Man, the power supply going out really jacked up my system. Got the drive to start working, but don't really know what to tell you for a fix action. Just kept tinkering with it, different cables, different headers, etc and so on until it just worked one time. Once I was in, my user profile was all jacked up and had to do some registry edits to get it working again. Got that fixed and then some how both of my NIC's just dropped their MAC addresses. I really can't explain that one. After about 20 minutes of working on the networking issue I happened to look at the router's DHCP log and noticed the requests were coming from MAC "00-00-00-00-00-00". Once I spoofed a MAC into the NIC, it worked right away. Very bizarre.
  11. Alright gents, I'm a bit perplexed with this one. Over the weekend my PSU died on me and I just got the replacement in last night. Got everything hooked back up and all seems to be alright with the exception of one hard drive not being detected. The SSD with the OS installed fires up fine, but the mechanical drive just won't work. I removed the drive from the system and verified the disk itself is not malfunctioning, I can plug it into another machine and it works fine. I've taken both the power cable and SATA cable from the SSD and plugged them into the other and still no dice. I've tried running a separate power line and different SATA cables on different SATA headers from the mobo, nothing has worked so far. Any ideas? P.S. - This is my first modular power supply... they are genius.
  12. Happy birthday dude, hope it's a good one for ya.
