  1. Bought it yesterday and got through the first level this morning. It looks a little better then the original and it does run a tad bit smoother. Gameplay is relatively the same, but it is a little more fast paced. They really do make a point of trying to overwhelm you if you get spotted too early when assaulting a village. The AI are noticably smarter then in Crysis. There generally smarter when flanking and will do so whenever they get the chance. In one section your moving through a pretty lush jungle area and have to engage a patrol. I got so caught up with the initial patrol, I didn't notice two guys circle all the way behind me. Needless to say, I died. I haven't gotten to the multiplayer yet, but it seems like good value for only 30 dollars so far.
  2. Due to recent budget cuts, the Army has been forced to outsource the Special Forces evasive driving class to local carnivals
  3. Happy Belated Birthday to us! Here's to many more
  4. Great games the last few nights. The newer maps are tons of fun, even though the map maker for that new dam loves those tanks way too much.
  5. I was going to update my drivers so I could try this out but I forgot. Thanks for the reminder. Physx here I come
  6. CoBoL Custard Durka Floyd Halli Kiwi Majestic Punisher Samurai USThompsen Viiiper Zebb Zeno
  7. Good stuff. Not my favourite comedian, but Dane Cook does have his moments.
  8. Ubi seems to be getting better and better at taking a good concept for a game and developing it the exact opposite way.
  9. I got mine for 30 US dollars at direct2drive.com. Its the regular verision but I have downloaded Floyd's copy of Queens Gambit if we decide to use it.
  10. Gold Edition for 40 US Dollars that is a digital download.
  11. Yup, great games as usual. Got a little more feeling for the game today and learned a bunch as well. One of the most important things though is to never get in a chopper with adder. Maybe it was just me, but every time a heli went down, adder was in it. That and I am a terrible shot with the gunner, wasted 4000 rounds and didnt get a single kill. Its fun to play a game where teamwork actual makes a substaintal difference. Bounding up the street with Medic was a ton of fun, even though I eventually got lit up from the super accurate camoflauged rifelmen. Medic and I pushed pretty far into the city with only 2 people, im just giddy to find out how effective we would be if we all worked together at the same time.
  12. Impressive. Everything they show makes me want the game more. 6 months is going to be a long wait.
  13. Everything is stock, i dont have the guts to overclock the stuff as of yet.
  14. The one with the horn impaled in the guys leg makes me wince big time
  15. After reading all of that, I want to play with game right now. It seems like we may have a winner on our hands if all thats written in there is true.
  16. Ive been looking forward to this game for a while now. They've just annouced that they're using the Unreal engine. Before the announcement, they were not allowed to publish a lot of content due to some clause in their contract with Epic. But since they now have everything sorted out officially, Im looking forward to a bunch of new content being previewed in the next few weeks. Also, if you join the forums, you can get access to monthly newsletters, which showcase some of the weapons, concept art and just general details from the game.
  17. Even if you dont want to overclock, the 45nm process runs cooler because it requires less voltage to run at certain clock speeds. Lower coltage = less heat emitted. That and this generation of processors have around a 10% increase in performance if you compare them at the same clock speed of the other generation. All this for around 5 bucks more.
  18. I dont know about anyone else who as worked in an office, but something like this would just make my week. They could do with some of Medics smoke nades. I cant seem to embed the link properly, could someone explain how?
  19. Im up for some flight school this weekend if anyone has time.
  20. I thought I would throw in my opinion since I was in this situation a couple of weeks ago. First off, Viiiper is right with SLI being overrated. Basically SLI does have a few benefits over a single card, but not much. Not taking into the fact that some games, GRID for example, have poor support for multiple cards and some games have no support at all. Second, SLI doesnt do much for the minimum frame rate. The minimum is important because that is the number that matters when you get in a big firefight with tons of lag. You want your minimum to be high enough to get you through those times, and in some games, SLI even descreases the minimum frame rate. Also, I believe your motherboard doesnt support SLI, since its an x38 chipset, which only has crossfire support. You might want to consider looking at a single 8800GT or 8800GTS 512, since they are more then enough for every single game out there except for the benchmark known as Crysis. If your willing to wait a wait, the new ATI 4850 is coming out and looks like it will best the 9800 GTX, with a lower price. For the motherboard, you'd probably be best off with some that has a p45 chipset, which is the newest mainstream chipset from intel. If your set on wanting SLI possiblity in the future, your stuck with the 790i, which is expensive, if you want ddr3. For the processor, I think your better off with the new e8400. Its a 45nm manufacture process compared with the 65nm you choose, so it allows you to overclock more and gives of less heat. 5 bucks more for a processor that is hitting a 4Ghz overclock quite easily. For the harddrive, its always good to have extra space. This drive is one of the fastest drives, beating most 10000rpm drives, on the market for consumers for a lower price then the drive you choose. Finally, for cooling, zipzoomfly really has a limited selection of the highend stuff, so your best bet is the Vendetta. This is a top 5 cooler for a few sites and I actually bought another heatsink that is the same model as this, just from a different company. Powersupply, I dont have any really recommendations. All I know is that its always safe to go with a brand with a quality history. Not sure about the history of Ultra products, so I cant comment. For the RAM, I have no idea which is the best decision right now. You can get 4gb of fast ddr2 for the same price as 2gb of medium speed ddr3. I guess if your looking to the future for upgradability, ddr3 is probably the best shot.
