  1. Our 1.0 is a pretty old version at this point Donziboy (beta version 316, now we're up to beta version 350 as of yesterday, possibly updated again today but I doubt it, they've slowed down their beta releases a little (definitely still have a beta release every few days, so it's not worth updating). There have been lots of changes and fixes). However our current version works, that's all we need it to do, maybe one of these days we'll update the version but that would bring a lot of headaches with it and that's something no one wants to deal with right now. Also I'll note that that so-called "final RC" is just beta version 349, now beta version 350 is out. I guess they're just naming these beta version's stable versions and making them just that. If we do update our ACE version I'd like to request that we update it to version 350 however because the ACE team as increased the lethality of 12.7mm rounds (50 cal rounds) .
  2. What does enabling and disabling the hook on the Osprey do? Very nice map Kav, I like it a lot so far.
  3. I'd like to see someone actually pull that one lol, nice one...
  4. I ended up reformatting the HD and reinstalling the OS and it all worked out... Who knows what happened, thanks for all the help though guys, really appreciated it!
  5. You must go to this thread and apply, follow the instructions: http://www.legionofspartans.com/forums/ind...?showtopic=4980 I'm not sure whether or not your user group can see that subforum or not, however you will be moved by an administrator to the Equals user group once you've been on our Teamspeak and we've gotten to talk to you a bit as well as get to know you. From there repeat the latter. I'll add though that flying as well as driving MHQs is a privilege, not a right on our server and can and will be revoked at any time if a moderator or administrator deems it the correct action. With all that out welcome to our forums, hope to meet you on our TS3 server soon.
  6. Unfortunately none of those suggestions have worked however I have yet to try the reformat because I can't find the disk. Either way I'm due for a new computer anyway and with some extra cash to spare maybe I'll take the opportunity to just scrap it and upgrade, or just go out and buy a new HD, blah.
  7. I could really use that precision aim button. Too bad this mouse is just way too expensive.
  8. I'll give all of those a try when I get home today, thanks for the responses guys. Custard: I haven't tried using the OS disc yet but it's on the list.
  9. I believed it wasn't working, only after I updated did I realize it was only my mouse interferring. the arrow keys weren't working and neither were any of the other controls... So to the best of my knowledge at the time I figured my BIOS had gone haywire and is also mainly why I'm a bit mad at myself for not unplugging all of my input devices (such a simple troubleshoot option) before going through the very dangerous process of updating the BIOS.
  10. Yep, 1406 stable. I got the newest BIOS off of ASUS and that's when this problem started. Not really something you'd expect is it..
  11. My BIOS had been acting funny for quite awhile and I had finally decided I'd had enough. So I decided I'd flash my BIOS to the newest version. Woooahhh, big mistake. I flashed the BIOS successfully and set it to default settings. Unfortunately, now upon boot I get an error "Missing Operating System". I've tried a few things, downgrading the BIOS, checking to make sure that my computer was recognizing my hard drives and etc. None have worked and I still have the error. My computer was originally bought 4-5 years ago from Best Buy, and since that time I have upgraded the video card and added some extra RAM awhile back. My mobo is a P5N-E SLI from ASUS, with the computer being a Velocity Micro, and not quite sure which model. What I've been trying to do is find the Velocity Micro BIOS version that came with my PC and flash back to that (I figured that the motherboard was supposed to run only with that specific BIOS after all was said and done), however I've been unable to find it anywhere and if there was a CD to recover it I can't find it. So honestly the rundown here is a BIOS update to 1406 and then downgraded to older version to try and resolve the problem with no success as well as tampering with some BIOS options. I can access the BIOS fine so I'm thinking that the computer isn't seriously broken but I can't seem to get it to work... Any and all help is greatly appreciated guys, it's my main machine that's down so until I get it back up and running I won't be ingame all that much. Once again thanks for any help. Note: The only reason I was updating to a newer BIOS was because I was having problems navigating through my BIOS because the inputs were all screwed up (nothing was responding) I've since found out the problem was nothing but my mouse interferring with something and as such disconnecting my mouse while fiddling in the BIOS has solved my original, simple problem (doh). So now I'm faced with this "missing operating system" problem. Velocity Micro (unknown model) Q6600 Quad nVidia 8800 GTS 512 ASUS P5N-e SLI (motherboard revision says 1.01G if that helps) If anyone needs any information that I haven't already posted please ask.
  12. Makes me want to play ArmA.... More than I already do lol. Really though, I'm excited for OA's release.
  13. You and I both Yoshi. Still, the joke was funny lol
  14. That APB looks interesting, it could be really good, or it could be really bad. All depends on how well they do it. I signed up for beta also, put down Sparta. So ditto to your dittos.
  15. Took you long enough didn't it. Welcome mate.
  16. Man.. If you did that.... Welcome to Guantanamo.
  17. For those of you who want to have the most updated version of ACE as well as the stable release that we use you can still do this. Download the 316 version of ACE from the link already posted by Zeno, Once you're finished downloading them all rename them to have _1.0 after all of the file names. Put them in your ArmA 2 main directory just like usual and then create a new shortcut to ArmA and add to the property line the ACE files along with the added _1.0.
