From the newsletter this week... After the 16th December we will continue to update with more polish and content such as the playable ships we committed to in our Kickstarter campaign – in fact I’m delighted to be able to tell you that we are now planning to eventually have 30 playable ships in Elite: Dangerous, 5 more than we committed to in Kickstarter. And most exciting of all, we will start the work on a longer term roadmap that includes getting you up out of your pilot’s seats and out of your starships.

If you think timelapse would miss a meteor, look how slow this one is. These things don't get caught on film very often, so it's a keeper

Dunno if u r looking at the right thing, but these are not contrails. In fairness, you have to see it on the original movie before uploading has made it blocky. The main one on the right at 17 seconds actually starts right at the top of the frame, comes down at a 1 oclock to a 7 oclock angle bright and white before blowing in the wind and disapaiting. Contrails dont go vertical, they are horz. I'll upload the org footage its only 60Mb and you'll see what I mean

Haha good one. How about the odds on that though? My pointing a timelapse camera at the exact right spot in the sky for the right 30 minutes of today and the clouds clearing JUST in time to catch it. Freaking unbelievable.

Haha very cool Dai. So, this TrackIR business, what's that all about. I read somewhere that you can use your playstation eye fro tracking in Elite Dangerous? Alos, how do you connect 3 monitors if you GFX card has only two HDMI outs?

T H A N K Y O U Ive been wondering for ages what this game is that I see you all playing on steam. LOL, "straf". So it's basically minecraft in space, for ship or station building? Looks really cool, I couldn't help but think how extremely cool it would be to have this entire game as a bolt on to a larger game, for example, the new Elite Dangerous as an add on pack - Ship Builder, that would let you build you own custom ships and stations, how awesome would that be.

Thanks Dai. I've been watching a scottish bloke's youtube videos of the beta, funny stuff. The whole docking sequence just about has me hooked on it's own! I like how it has proper battles unlike Eve Online, but I wish, or hope, they develop flight right down on to the surface of planets, that's the breakthrough Im waiting for. Rodina does that but the graphics are 1980. The graphics in this are awesome, really excited for this game.

Yeh I couldnt help but watch it with my neck constantly cricking upwards.
