  1. Nice rig Cobol!! Please remove all humans (and other living things) before applying tension to winch cable.. ;) Enjoy..
  2. I don't have the game but this sounds like a blast. Mark me as clueless but interested. I went to the link and it's marked 'Closed' .... I think Fill me in and drag me along.....willing yes.....able.....doubt it  . . . . Actually just point me in the right direction and I'll see if I can get up to speed in time. Cheers
  3. Sweet system bud !! How'd ya like building in the CM?? I hope you enjoy every bit that rig will throw at ya... Cheers Edit: OOPS....Thought case was a Cooler Master.....Uber rig Halli very happy for ya!
  4. LOL Have you handled a BAR (M1918) ? Those things weigh in at something like 18 pounds EMPTY! Which I suppose is a good thing since you'll be firing 30-06 ammo in full auto. You also be reloading a lot with a 20 round box mag and a 500-600 rps cyclic rate. Makes a heck of club though if you do run dry. I'm a die hard fan of the M14. Was...is....will be.....the best main battle rifle in the U.S. inventory.....IMHO. Cheers
  5. Notice how they have moved back to the reliable op rod system and tossed the direct gas impingement design that has been the nemesis of the M-16 platform since it's creation. The MagPul Masada Adaptive Combat Weapon System (ACWS) a.k.a. MagPul Masada Rifle / Carbine, made by MagPul Military Industries Corp., was one of the hottest new items at SHOT Show 2007. It's basically an AR-18/AR-180-based gas-piston/op-rod-driven modular assault rifle
  6. When I set up my dual boot I had the following drives: 2-150 GB Raptors 2-500 GB Caviars 2-Optical Drives Each OS uses one Raptor and one Caviar. I began by only plugging in the HDDs for Vista and installing that OS. Then I unplugged the Vista drives and plugged in the two HDDs for WinXP Once both Operating Systems were installed I physically connected them as follows: SATA1 = WinXP OS SATA2 = WinXP Data SATA3 = Vista64 OS SATA4 = Vista Data SATA5 = ODD1 SATA6 = ODD2 With this arrangement the operating systems are completely isolated and either can be booted by simply hitting 'F8' during the POST screen and selecting either SATA1 for WinXP or SATA3 for Vista from the Boot Menu. Whichever drive is booted from is automatically assigned the 'C' drive letter and it's data drive is given 'D'. I also have the BIOS boot order setup to boot into WinXP (SATA1) if the PC is just left to boot on it's own. (This could just as easily be made to default to Vista if no action is taken). I never enter BIOS (unless you consider the Boot Menu as BIOS) to select which OS to boot into. Knowing which SATA ports are assigned to each drive makes the process very straight forward. I think this is very similar to what Viiiper is describing so please pardon any redunancy. Best of Luck X
  7. Thanx Viiiper, Do you know anything about the availability of SP1 for Vista? It seems I read something about it reaching RTM status and now available to system build operations but not to the general population. In any case thanks again for the KB info. Cheers, X
  8. Enjoy: Just a few of the images available from: Hubble Site
  9. I'm green with adventure envy Break that camera out and take some pics....you'll regret it if you don't. Have a GREAT time!! . . . . ps..What does everyone think of their cold weather gear / camping / navigation choices?
  10. Yeah it's really great s/w. I use both but prefer Virtual Earth most of the time. My GPS s/w links to Google Earth so it stays for now. Primary monitor runs the GPS s/w and when I want to get a satellite view of a waypoint I just select 'view on Google Earth' and it opens on secondary monitor with a rotating globe that auto centers on the waypoint and zooms in....very nice tool. I could find my old house in a wooded area in North Georgia on Google Earth but not on Virtual Earth due to the light conditions at the time current photo was taken. It's improved considerably over the last year or so. Typically though I prefer the resolution, rendering and I/O provided with the MS product. Great stuff and they're FREE! Thx Viiiper!
