custard~SPARTA~
Here is an excellent method of giving a more accurate map position in Arma courtesy of Dai San. The first pic is a cropped image at min size with the single upper case letter along the bottom edge and a single number on the left hand edge. The second pic is a cropped image at max size with upper case and lower case letter along the bottom edge and a double digit number on the left hand edge. Now look at your number pad on the keyboard and imagine those nine numbers overlayed on each square of the map giving nine blocks in each square. On the min size map to give the position top left of the box 6 D say ?map ref 6 D mark 7? On the max size map to give the center block of box 64 Dh say ?map ref 64 Dh mark 5? MedicSN6
Yep, Dai-San and I used this method back in [GRNET]. This is an extremely useful way of giving friendly and enemy positions as well as structure and landscape locations.
Inimigo~SPARTA~
Ahh, now I get it. That's how IL2 map references are used as well. Though it's used like "G(olf) 5, KEYPAD 1/2/..9"
