Server 3 Domination test -- Coop 30 player

THIS IS A J.I.P. Setup (Join in Progress)

Nothing is required, but you are not allowed to have custom files like faces etc.

 

You can run mods like ECS, 6th sense etc etc.... MODS are no problem, the server

is not running Queens gambit but has the security measures implemented from all

ARMA versions since QG.

 

 

 

THE SERVER REQUIRES THAT YOU HAVE ARMA 1.14

 

 

 

All required files are downloaded to you from server, automatically

 

 

 

Your goal is it to free randomly picked targets (up to 21) from all enemy forces.

 

 

Features:

- 21 main targets (you can select 4 up to 21 targets, 10 is default). Each time the mission starts target order gets picked randomly.

- 22 side missions. Resolving a side mission brings your team extra vehicles like A10, M1, Cobra, etc. (randomly picked)

- Small main target missions (destroy something, free some hostages, etc. Your team can get a Stryker or Humvee)

- 2 Mobile Respawns (medic MTW)

- Mobile respawns and the support trucks can be transported by by your blackhawks (essential feature, fly over it and select Lift Vehicle in the action menu)

- 2 engineers who can repair and refuel the blackhawks and the mobile respawns

- Artillery operator who can call artillery strikes every six minutes

- Rescue operator who can rescue hostages and bring them to your base)

- The driver of a mobile respawn MTW or the pilot of a blackhawk can create/drop ammocrates

- Blackhawks, mobile respawn MTWs and the support trucks respawn

- You can teleport to the mobile respawns or the flag at base if you choose "Teleport" in the action menu if you're near them

- Sometimes if a main target is cleared the enemy starts a counterattack

- Enemy KA50 and Mi17 sometimes appears. The Mi17 drops paratroopers

- A status dialog is available at the mobile respawns and the blackhawks that shows some information about the current target and sidemission

- Some small AI features like dropping smoke if they get attacked and more

The mode is an extension & mix of game play

Is Queens Gambit or any other patch/addon required to try this out?

 

The reason I ask is that I was kicked automatically when trying to log on to s Server 3 today.

 

Sounds great and looking forward to giving it a spin.

I played it with Viiiper and Floyd lastnite.

It is a very good mod with the addition of a new vehicle.. a motorcycle!

 

The thing I like most about this mod is the objectives are tough as the AI are well organized and very aggressive.

Lastnite the objective was a town that was also an enemy base of operations.

There were helicopters patroling and directing their defenses.

Any detection by the defenses produced a quick response that usually involved armor and soldiers.

 

I think the map we played could easily keep 15 plus players on a razor's edge requiring a well coordinated

plan of attack. I think we would have a blast (pun intended) if we had 5 to 10 players.

played last night. It's really great cause it need more teamwork.

But heres some question:

the a10, a1z or m1 after side mission can be repaired after crash? or they will disappear?

Can we recruit any ai? cause maybe we will need them sometime.

This is a player v AI coop, you need AI try Evolution Server 1.

You have to understand, you can't make a game too easy.

This server runs many features to help the player, use them.

 

 

Ok it's very easy, This is not Evolution, it's a twist on Coop.

There is NO RANK , there is NO MONEY, NO BUYING anything.

 

 

Domination, objectives are made/ complete your team might earn a A10 aircraft, or it might not.

If you loose the aircraft, you will have to earn it again, so they are very valuable.

 

 

Use the mobile HQ (spawn points) to strategically place them so you can make a FARP.

(forward arming & Respawn point , not refueling in this game).

 

 

Capture all objectives to Win, objectives are set at the start, side missions earn you extras.

This is COOP on steroids. RESPAWN delayed 20seconds, any original item damaged needs

repair unless totally destroyed in which case it respawns after a delay.

I know there must be a difference between this version and Evolution in the style of gameplay it encourages but I'm damned if I can tell the difference, I tried it tonight for some time but it felt the same as Evo to me, personally I will stick to my little 4-5 man missions, each to his own I guess.. :bye2:

Your absolutely right, this is just a fun type game, there is a version that is revive only, but the thing is too big too be played as a mission. It seems to fall between Coop & Evolution, it defiantly could be played more serious, but you have to start it on ONE MISSION (OBJECTIVE) ONLY. & select the Revive version of the game

Ditto That. I don't mind it at all when there's a good size crowd on having a great time cutting up and socializing. It's the way some folks like to decompress and I completely get and encourage that. To me the experience is apples/oranges to a good no respawn/revive only mission where every aspect is intensified but in fairness it can feel stressful to some and there are folks that don't need one more ounce of stress in their lives particularly while gaming. So I'll continue to play both but absolutely prefer the latter.

 

I could see a Sparta 'Tactical' team develop down the road with the folks that prefer a little different twist to their missions. Doesn't make one style wrong and another right.....just different and I believe we should all encourage the formats as there's more than enough for everyone and at the end of the day this is team Sparta......we'll figure out how to make it work.

 

Had a great time tonight because everyone else was having such a good time and thanks to everyone for that.

Special/ different to evolution, think there is alot different more so it is not endless, but the question is, what style of play does it promote.

 

No ranks

Variable objectives from 1 -21 you decide

Mobile HQ

HQ motorbike spawns

Each player has a specialist role as well as their primary role.

carry backpacked weapon

The game decides on objective not the players

Bonus vehicles by completing objectives

No allied Tanks

No allied Jets

Enemy Mi17 drops paratroopers

Air drops

Delayed Respawn

HQ ammo pile

Artillery strikes

Revive, AI or Respawn as options (Evolution is respawn)

Telepot

UH60 can lift HQ & Medical centers

 

 

Specialist trade eg.

- The engineer can repair and refuel all vehicles

- The engineer is able to flip tanks or bmps that are lying on the wrong side if there

is a repair truck near him (about 20 meters)

whats the role of service truck? The ammocrate from blackhawk and mhq dont have Javelin or javelin missile.

I found the domination map maybe would bigger and longer than evo. Anyway it's better

Domination map is variable at the start 1 -21 missions & up to 51 side missions

 

Some items have to be earned by completing missions (Javelin)

 

Service truck is for repairing & upside down vehicles by engineers and it

speeds up repairs by engineers. Also none engineers can use it for repairing.

I like this but I'm not sure it's better than evo non ranked

In a series of changes we will adapt the Xeno Domination module mode

to suit a more positive team based game.

 

CHANGE 1: respawn changes from 20 to 60 seconds.

this is to make players realize that staying alive is better than re-spawning.

 

IF you have an idea then post but first test it out SERVER 3.
