  1. Ork, just a thought, from real-world training/experience: the best thing you can do for your wounded buddy is get fire superiority. basically, don't waste your life getting to the wounded guy. for that matter, have someone else bring the wounded man to you. the medic shouldn't be running around in the open. also, as a missed note on specializations...AMMO BEARERS! AT weighs an asston, we all know this. so do MG belts (especially my preferred 7.62mm ones.) so, find a buddy, have him lend you a hand. E.g. killer and i running around, i have the SMAW and a rocket, killer has 3 more on hand for me. our weights come out a bit closer to even, and neither of us is overloaded and passing out everytime we turn around. just a thought. also, as a thought, carry an MG, OR AT, OR demo. carrying more than one at a time makes for overloaded people in a hurry. and, overloaded people are a detriment, believe it or not, as the entire team constantly has to wait for you to stop, regain your stamina, and catch up.   2. well, dai, according to this theory...i'm a jack of all trades. demo, medic, MG, engi, pilot...you name it, i'm there. as an aside, while keeping this in mind: check your targets, especially if your a SAW w/TWS guy. i kinda hate getting surpressed by my own team :S all in all, well said Dai.   3. goon, i'd honestly recommend taking over the tac-dom channels in their entirety. otherwise, this map is a clusterf**k no matter how you cut it. Jeff
  4. goon...several of us are already committed to the mission thing with lighty saturday.... friday, i'm in. btw, i was originally going to propose this exact thing for sunday...but you stole my thunder. anyhow, count me in around the other mission saturday. as an aside to everyone else: come one, come all. plenty of room for EVERYONE.   5. fatal, the tasks never show up once you're in game. there should be markers on the map. go to them. if they aren't there....idk. so far as we can tell, this is a JIP bug. as for the missing file error, just ignore it. you have the file. i get those all the time, yet the "missing" file is most definitely there. if this occurs again, let me know. also, keep track of the slots you join as, in case it may a be a bug with them.   6. yankee, gunna try that next weekend. time TBD. i'll put up a post sometime soon when i have the time figured out. also, gents, its best to play this map on veteran. also, if theres 10+ players, remember to change the parameters to increase the number of enemy on the map. (not sure of sxactly where to adjust them to for our group size, until we experiment.) Jeff

  8. ah, rooster, just so you know, it doesn't uninstall after you unlock the veteran version either. in fact, it becomes worse...

  11. oh noes, smoky's tryin to make missions to use his FB-111 on..... sadly, i know nothing about making missions either, but, if you ever need a tester, let me know. @zeno - his aircraft would likely run into the same problem we had with the F-14 on ovaron (too fast for its own good.) also, if the EASA picks up on all the hardpoints.....18 bombs could become rather ridiculous in Dom.   14. peter, i get those errors too, yet every time, the files are there and working fine. i've had the game tell me i'm missing roberthammers M14, the irstrobe script from ACE, and the M1 Abrams...yet, they're there. may just have something to do with the climbing load times of ACE as well. i'll keep an eye out at dev-heaven for things in regards to that.   15. been covered noob. what i will say, and i'm sure you'll agree, is that we don't need 3 camoschemes of the same weapon. so, there's trimming to be done as it stands. the pack won't go away. there's plenty of useful toys in there, and plenty of people who use them. Jeff
  16. Goon, something to remember as well. ACE load times are climbing slowly with every build...i feel it every time they add a bunch of new stuff (damn 2GHz dual core lol.) you may try testing w/o roberthammers weps upon joining the server. it actually isn't neccessary to load in, nor to play, and may speed up your load times a bit (but you won't be able to see the RH weps people are using to shoot the AI ) Jeff
  17. goon...thats part 2 of the project. now that we've had them for a bit, and people have had the chance to use them, we can talk about thinning the boxes down some. i think a valid start would be to remove unneccessary recolors (such as the Mk18 black, desert, tan; leave just the black, say.) as for the SMG's...i acually use a few of the MP5's out of it on occasion. the rest can probably be dropped. we'll have to get together and sort through the list.   18. Rolf, i'm guilty of all crimes mentioned (e.g., mortar support/tech support.) anyhowm glad to hear you enjoy the map. we actually weren't intending for such an early release, but zeno said lets do it, so here it is.

  21. its live! for those who don't have it, get it HERE just to note, its up to 3 (yes, 3) boxes. they're the big ones. for the russian weapon lovers, they're in a box next to the mortars. last note...some of the RH weapons don't have mags in their particular boxes. the main box at the flagpole should have them in it. if, for whatever reason, the main box doesn't have em, let me know what weapon, so i can run down the mags for it. the right lingor map is the one with "RH_WEPS cam" at the end of it. enjoy the excessive firepower gents!!
