I've considered getting this, but... I played the beta and it didn't run too well on my system, much of the screen was blacked out. So, I'm a bit weary of actually paying for this and getting stuck with something I can't play...

Someone wiser should correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that the updaters always give you the most recent version of the mod. SPARTA's server is technically using an older release dubbed "1.0 stable". As has been said before, if you're going to play on SPARTA's ACE server, it's best to manage ACE manually. Click me!

It's still in beta but it's been working fine for me. Durka, I actually remember that commercial.... and the ABC deal on Saturday mornings. Sadly, I never owned one though...

I think this change will make life simpler in the end. Any ACE server with "version checking" enabled (a necessary evil, imho) will inherently cause issues for its users. Then there's the issue of asset control... without MH6's certification system any popular server would be hell on wheels anyway.

Reminds me of the times Jay Leno or someone on TV would go out of the studio to interview the public... Some things simply shouldn't be aired on national television.
