Finally got the computer back up and running. Arma 2 is patched to 1.54, BAF is downloaded and running. Yet, when I try to join the Sparta server I get to the point where I can pick my class. After it loads and everything it just boots me to the server selection screen. I have no idea what is wrong. Any suggestions?

Perhaps you could even extend it to be a mercenary group commander where the big boss has provided the commander with limited assets at the beginning. As time and kills progress, the commander is given "bounty" for each human killed in the AO and bigger and better units are unlocked. Which does the bluefor choose, swift tactical takedown of AO risking large losses and more units for the opfor? Or maybe a long well thought battle where the risk of facing more progressed units is possible?

KALLLL!!! Anywho...i went on the premise that things only fit where they should and ended up with a dead motherboard. I get confused when hooking things to the power supply.

Warrantied my motherboard and will be here tomorrow. Anyone think they can walk someone through installing a motherboard or is it just that complicated?

Im guessing either bubbles from an underground spring orrrrrr turtle chilling at the bottom blowing bubble rings.

My buddy went over there last year and worked the same schedule as a fire protection engineer on a heavily attacked forward base. He said they weren't allowed to drink, smoke, or even consider traveling off base. He made out in money though. He got to see the world in a controversial area and would give his left n*t to go back. He said the closest thing that happened was a few mortar shells hit outside the base, immediately followed by mortar targeting artillery. Yeah, no more mortars after that. My advice is to take it. Yes it dangerous; its Afghanistan. But take it, you may never get the chance to again. Just make sure you don't do any travel back to the states while you are there. If you do, uncle sam will send you a nice bill for back taxes in the several 10's of thousands range.

Kalxen! I hope that you are lurking the forums somewhere. I attempted to "fix" my computer and may have broken it. I believe you are the only person in the Dallas area. I checked some local shops and they want to charge me 79 dollars an hour and won't touch it unless they can run diagnostics. I've got a 12 pack of beer or a fifth of your choice bottle. Plus my wife says she'll cook dinner if it means we don't spend money on the time suck hole (my computer). Send me a pm if you're interested.

I see that you can put the squad symbol on any vehicle and thats pretty cool. My question, is there way that you can put a spot on a vehicle that is reserved for a custom graphic stored on a server somewhere? I just imagine a plane flying over with the rebel flag and 3 women on the underside with large ta-ta's and going "well, there goes halli..." I guess it would only really work if whenever someone jumped in a vehicle it would load a custom graphic that would have to be of certain dimension.

I haven't done a tac dom in months because everyone has already gone off to the pub by the time I'm getting home and done paying attention to the wife.

Excuse my lack of computer knowledge, but I'm assuming i need a crossfire motherboard as well? Or just 2 2.0 slots?

When sorting a list, does anyone know what the first symbol/number/letter will be first. Is it 1 or some other random alt code.

Be glad you can even play alien swarm. The only way i can play is in offline mode, otherwise it crashes to desktop at startup screen.

I know this isn't your issue, but I thought I'd throw this out there. When APB released, for the first week I would get into the game and only make it about 5 seconds before the connection would drop. I tried everything, port-forwarding, "unnapproved workarounds", etc. Turns out, the game was loading my ancient modem, provided by the wonderful time warner company in Dallas, and causing the modem to self preserve and restart. I'd say on the slight chance you're having the same problem I was, check to see if your modem is restarting when you drop connection. And I'm out like Christopher Reeve in a game of Twister.
