  1. As some of you may remember I have long been considering a HTPC for watching films and listening to music. Over the last few months I have copied nearly 1.5 terabytes of film from DVD. Here in Switzerland I have experimented with my dell XPS laptop hooked up to my LCD TV Playing films wirelessly from my main PC in my office, using the newish Draft N wifi (300 mbps). This has worked almost perfectly, I had tried the G wifi (54mbps) but there were some stutters and occasional lockups during the film. Following this experiment I will build the dedicated HTPC and have today purchased all the components. I will build it over the next couple of days and will report on the ease of the build and performance once thats done. These are the components: Shuttle Intel SG33GS (See Description Below) Intel Core2 duo E6750 2GB Corsair DDR2 800 ram 750GB Seagate Barracuda HDD Vista Ultimate Logitech DiNovo Edge Bluetooth Keyboard Description SHUTTLE Barebone SG33G5 noir S. 775 INTEL G33 800/1066/1333 MHz FSB 2xDDR2 - SG33G5 Chassis G5-type aluminum chassis, black color storage bays: 1 x 5.25", 2 x 3.5" (1 internal) dimensions: 31 x 20 x 18.5 cm (LWH), weight: 3.3 kg net / 4.6 kg gross Mainboard Shuttle FG33, Shuttle form factor, Dimensions: 25.4 x 18.5 cm proprietary mainboard design for Shuttle XPC Barebone SG33G5 Chipset: Intel G33 Express (Bearlake-G) + ICH9DH Solid Capacitors for excellent heat resistance for enhanced system durability Color slots/connectors design (Power switch, USB, PCIe, PCI) Power supply 250 Watt mini power supply unit Input voltage range: 100~240V Connectors: 20-pin ATX, 4-pin ATX12V Dimensions: 190 (L) x 82 (W) x 43 (H) mm EMI certified: FCC, CE, CCC Safety certified: TÜV, UL, CB, CCC, CSA, NEMKO Active PFC (Power Factor Correction) Power plug region specific Processor support Socket 775 supports Single/Dual/Quad Core processors from Intel with Core technology (65nm) and 800, 1066 or 1333MHz front side bus: Core 2 Quad Q6xxx, Core 2 Duo E6xxx / E4xxx, Pentium Dual-Core 2xxx and Celeron D 4xx series. 2. From what I have read you ultimately want to go into 0.0 space to gain 10x rewards. To go there you presumably need stealth, speed and strength. I understand 1 player controls one ship, so how many ships (and what composition type and experience) do you need to form a battle group capable of venturing into 0.0 space with some degree of safety, or is this just not possible.
  3. I dropped the respawn time from 20 to 10 seconds. I have added new maps, here is the complete cycle. coop_estrada http://floyd.wik.is/@api/deki/files/97/=coop_estrada.bundle coop_borders http://floyd.wik.is/@api/deki/files/98/=coop_borders.bundle coop_quarry coop_timber coop_sierra coop_nowherenight http://floyd.wik.is/@api/deki/files/99/=co...erenight.bundle coop_storm http://floyd.wik.is/@api/deki/files/100/=coop_storm.bundle coop_nowhere_v5 http://floyd.wik.is/@api/deki/files/101/=c...where_v5.bundle coop_hostage http://floyd.wik.is/@api/deki/files/102/=coop_hostage.bundle coop_fort_day_v2 http://floyd.wik.is/@api/deki/files/103/=coop_fort_v2.bundle coop_sierraday http://floyd.wik.is/@api/deki/files/104/=c...ierraday.bundle coop_fort_night_v2 (you get this with the fort day download) coop_crashsite_v2 http://floyd.wik.is/@api/deki/files/105/=c...hsite_v2.bundle coop_dam_v7 http://floyd.wik.is/@api/deki/files/106/=coop_dam_v7.bundle Rocky I had a look at your site but didnt see all of these maps, given your large audience it would be great if they were on your site. Remember to report any glitches or crashes or instance where the game doesnt end and roll on to the next round.
  4. If you cant transport guns or even clothes how does a terminator get transported? I am sure this has been explained but I missed it.
  5. Congratulations on your startup, good luck to LOSC
  6. Happy birthday May all your frustrations disappear and your dreams of becoming a gaming god become a reality. Cheers
  7. Has the 3rd episode, "the Turk" aired in the US yet?
  8. I have just seen the first two episodes, Liked it a lot looking forward to seeing more.
  9. I have now also added Quarry, Timber and Sierra stock maps. Please remember to report any instability or problems. Any requests for maps please post and we`ll try to get them.
  10. Hi Hoss, here are the 2 maps, I'll add links in TS as and when I add more maps. Cheers http://floyd.wik.is/@api/deki/files/97/=coop_estrada.bundle http://floyd.wik.is/@api/deki/files/98/=coop_borders.bundle
  11. Terrible situation, you are in my thoughts. Phil
  12. No one is asking you to fuck off. Noone is calling you or anyone else a traitor. Floyd is not interested in playing EVE, but since anything that impacts Sparta is of interest to him (and me) we will ask questions, if thats ok. Everyone is free to do as they please. There is an issue if tagged players join another clan in a game we play. This will be discussed on Sunday. I understand entirely your motivation for going down this route, and clearly you have thought this through. I want everyone else who might be considering doing this to do the same. I share Floyds concern if players spend more time on other groups teamspeak than on ours, this is true for all games not just EVE. We are trying to build a community, but this wont happen if most of the people are populating others groups comms.
  13. Server 3 coop is back up. For now it only has 2 maps, Estrada and Borders. Please report any crashes here. I will add maps one at a time to test for crash issues, plus all the stock maps. Enjoy
  14. I have a few questions to which I only need a one sentence answer. Is Progenitor Corp like a clan. Will you wear the Tags of Progenitor Corp Do they have their own comms. Please do not write long answers.
  15. Sorry guy I'll be out of pocket until Friday or Saturday. I'll be having fun so don't worry about me and enjoy yourselves.
  16. Dont download the free codec its a virus, in fact you probably dont even have the film at all its just a trick to infect your computer. This is the voice of a mug who did download the "free" software.
  17. Sorry to hear this, I hope you feel better soon. Cheers Phil
  18. I have used asus and intel based Mobos exclusively in my last 3 builds, cant help with amd, sorry bud.
  19. I've watched it twice, I took the girlfriend to see it at the cinema, definitely not her cup of tea. Ultimately it's just a high budget night of the living dead, good effects, good acting, unoriginal premise.
