  1. Only one word .... BRILLIANT ! (Flag Capping on Katabatic ... Run out door, Ski down small slope outside and disk jump to enemy base, ski through the flag placement and hit the hill to the left rear, disk jump back up left side of the map in 2 jumps. )
  2. MUTILATER

    My Dream

    Enjoy the show.
  3. Hmm .... Word is "G" G-String ? .... I assume we all know what this is ! (Some of you Americans may even like to ware em) G-Spot ? .... The OLD fart's know this one ... You younger folk wouldn't know it if it slapped you in the face like dead trout. Ok now this G## bit has me a bit muffed ? .... Is this when you ring up and order your hookers on da phone ? ... what I was interested in was the number bit, is this her age ? If so Cobol your gettin a bit low at 9 and Medic seems you like em at that perfect breeding point. But at 35 .... sounds like your wife, which brings me to another valid point. Washing Ironing Fucking Everything And this is what keeps us all happily married .... That's it from me for today's "G" Lesson.
  4. I had to read that post 3 times Adder .... Your still fucking drunk right !! OK start with this .... Double check all connections on your new shiny PSU as I'm betting you have a 5V rail going to a 12V supply somewhere or something strange like this scenario. Does your PSU have a bunch of cables as well as the modular plug in extras ... USE the hard wired cables FIRST and double check you have the right two feeding your GPU. Remove any crap you can from the equation upon a restart like case fans and bling bits and extra hard drives and extra extra hard drives and any fucking BS u got plugged in so u are only supplying the board , gpu and one HD ... no need for any burners either or a floppy if u have one. If you have any thermal paste look to reset your cpu cooler also , maybe a bracket sprung ? ... If you have time pull the MB out and inspect it for any burns and check fins and heat sinks for dust accumulation and blow out. If you killed a PSU you have a 50/50 chance of it screwing with other bits, your not running some golden yumcha brand PSU at near it's max rating ? ... take 20% off it on all rails to be sure it can cope with the load and even check it's supplying enough amps for your GPU rail while your at it. Reset your bios while your at it and connect the absolute minimum you can to get working then add and test one bit at a time .... could be many things Like ..... PEBKAC even. GL L8R
  5. As per usual all the pre release fanboi hype and this is the fact why PC game releases are so dismal ! You might as well call them an "Alpha" ... because they fail to deliver and are always bug ridden. Now DO YOU wish to blow another $60 upon release for YET ANOTHER one of those that wont perform and be stable. GO ahead ! ...be my guest, I'll still be here to listen to all the forum and TS bleeting about all the bits not working as per usual like MANY we have seen in previous years before. (Do I need to list them or is your memory fresh) How about a little advice ..... Wait 2-3 months and keep an eye on the correct places for proper information aboiut the games release and make sure that the Dev team is onto fixing the sad bits not just incorperating minor fixes to keep you all amused and stary eyed while they keep your money and in the long term fail to deliver YET AGAIN. Codemasters have NEVER developed OFP they are simply the publishers, and have there previous titles delivered ,,Derr look at Grid for instance, Don't hold much faith in this bunch as they have NEVER had any rights or say over OFP or Arma or VBS. I would not rate this as more than a 50/50 possibility. Bohemia ... takes them a while to deliver and a community to embrace a new product, look at past performances and if you were around in OFP or VBS which 98% were not you would know .... I do , been there done that and got the fukin t-shirt. ... Patience is needed here believe me on this one. So there you have it .... rush out and pre order just to again be disappointed due to the same people raving about how wonderful the product is when in fact ... They Don't know and never will. All the marketing hype and little manipulated videos will not sell a game like Arma ... Proof is in the pudding with this type of game as it's not kiddie orientated and many complain about it being too hard on the learning curve. Games that never lasted long at Sparta , Crysis, Black Shark, Grid just to name a few, yet scroll back through the posts to look at all the hype and then consider all the disappointment you got upon purchase day. Remember back at BDA ... OFP was the most populated server, out came Arma and everyone left to play OFP elsewhere because Arma was crap and this killed many players at BDA .... Don't rush to do that again on these two games before your sure you get what they market and it works very well L8R girls
  6. Delta Force in it's day was probably the premier COOP FPS game .... we are talking years ago here. Along came Joint Operations dubbed "The Battlefield Killer" amounted to nothing more than a run and gun kiddie shit feast as they removed all of the good features and made it for 12 YO children due to the constant whinging upon the forum about it being "Too Hard" and "Snipers rule" ... yes snipers rule but hell you had to be good to play the part right. For those of you who played this series ...remember gillie suits and long grass in DF2 ... brillient wasn't it as long as you never moved ...you never got seen then DF3 came out and we went to a desert ...no grass so snipers had to adapt, so when you pulled off that 2,5 km shot and dropped your target on the move and it came up on screen with a 50cal ... you knew you were good ! ... remember ? Now fast fwd to today .... DF struggled with JO and lost 85% of there player base due to the patch in JO that effectively nerfed all the good aspects of this game in one shot, since we saw all the good removed from previous titles and never retained the community just ditched em like a hot potato and never looked back. We all moved on to more enjoyable games and with aspects we wanted without the run and gun UT and Quake style. Novalogic tried to hold in there but the damage was done and there profit margin dwindled to ...zero so out came the revamped re releases to try to win hearts back. This never made any impression as the damage was done and dusted from long time fans minds. They still retain a revamped engine and old game mechanics which seriously need updating but without a player base and more income this simply will never happen, not to say DX9 is out ... still produces many of the most stable titles even today as DX 10 has limitations and the main stream users can't match the requirements for all the eye candy. DF was never a game with beautiful eye candy ... but it sure had some of the best player experiences around in it's day, and as we all know eye candy comes at a price and sometimes is so paramount in the developers minds they forget to make the game fun for the troops ... A pity isn't it, as eye candy alone does not or ever will make a game fun to play for a serious team working together. I doubt this will amount to much just a revamped "Blackhawk Down" as JO was a disaster and had many issues not just the kiddie aspect, network codeing was shocking to say the least, it was that bad it was pulled from sale in Australia due to so many complaints, because what you read upon the box was not what you got in the game, Yes I also got sucked into purchasing JO ... Never again will i touch a Novalogic title. However some of my fondest game playing time was during the early DF 1,2,3,4 titles on the more professional servers around who demanded team players not runners and gunners. Nova ... you screwed your community with JO and the patch ... WE WILL NEVER FORGET !!
  7. You also may find that all the cooling fins underneath that plastic cover just need cleaning. Just lift the edge of the sticker on the fan housing and locate the 5-6 tiny Phillips head screws, unscrew and remove the top plate, now you can clean out all that fluff and cat hair ect if any inside and this will surly improve air flow and heat removal. Also some fans have a sticker on the front of the rotational part again under there is a plug, pop this and lubricate the bearing sleeve below using something like silicone spray, If no plug you can remove fan and lubricate from the rear side.
  8. You know it's not I ..... I couldn't perform "multiple times" with Jungle Jane !! Besides if it's that darn good why did he not purchase his new plastic bed mate or take several home if the thought of cleaning her out disgusted him .... the petrol to get there would probably cost him more than the doll .... sheesh some mothers do have em hey. (BTW if you want to have a good laugh check out a site called "Real Dolls" the prices are ... OMG WTF !!, and while your there read some testimonials ... It's fucking hilarious, Also an entrepreneurial position exists for a doll cleaning service, maybe your new found profession Medic)
  9. I did manual Microshaft updates earlier .... there was an updated driver for my on board gigabit Lan port (In hardware optional section) ... so I installed it ... Fucking bad idea !! i noticed instant instability as soon as i rebooted then a few hours later I had a dead port, not sure if it's the drivers fault or simple coincidence, however the Lan port disappeared from device manager and also from the bios, I kid you not the option to enable/disable just vanished. Now this may very well be just a simple port died at same time situation but I'm not sure. Anyway had a spare D-Link pci one in the drawer so all good as gold regardless. Just thought i would give you a heads up if you encounter the same issue after a driver update. My Realtek Lan was a model 8111B and the driver it wished to install was called "Realtek GbE & FE Ethernet PCI-E Nic driver". Hope anyone else has better luck if you have this model. L8R Mut
  10. Well interesting non the less ...... 97% Recon .... Including a motorbike
  11. My CNR's (Battleship) capability in either cruise missile mode or torpedo setup for gank. (Moving up a level to a Marauder class BS like Cobol's will make further improvements to the firepower) Low slots (Slightly different setup using torps) 3 x Capacitor flux coils 2 x CN Ballistic control systems Mid slots 1 x Gist X-Large Shield Booster 2 x Gist A-Type Boost Amplifiers 2 x Dread Guristas Invulnerability Fields 1 x Gist A-Type Photon Scattering Field (Swap out mission specific or drop for a Target Painter) High slots 7 x Cruise Missile / Siege Launchers 1 x Drone augmenter Rigs 1 x Cap Control Circuit II 2 x Cap Control Circuit I In Cruise setup with max tank I stay cap positive with a defense of 1250/1250 DPS sustained Firepower is 600 and 3800 volley. In Siege mode same tank figures but 950 firepower and 6000 volley. I have the headroom to swap out tank for firepower in either setup, and the tank i have is set to defend ALL damage types, if i wish to be damage specific i can jump my tank to over 1400 DPS Capable of doing any L4 solo .... but at 5B Isk, it would want to perform. (At least the gear is used on better models in the future and i can upgrade defense further if i desire to waste Isk, these ships you DO NOT take into PvP or low sec. Quick specs in EFT for a Marauder class BS will give me slightly less tank 1180/1180 DPS sustained as cap positive and give me an extra mid slot free to add whatever, using Siege launchers i can hit over 7000 volley damage. Can't fly one yet and .... really don't need one, however nice to have for your in game E-Peen. I have my eyes set on a Capital Carrier ... gawd darn books alone were 1B Isk BTW Cobol ... nice looking Paladin.
  12. L5 missions are not worth the hassle, they don't pay well and you need a good big team to make sure you all return alive as not only the mission rats want to kill you so does every pirate in the system since they are run in low sec. Yeah the missile recalibration was painful for all of about 30 seconds and a trip to Jita .... Swap out a hardener and in goes a target painter. Carry 5 x T2 medium and 5 x T2 light combat drones, use according to target size Eg lights on frigates/destroyers and mediums on cruisers .... Missile blast the remaining rubbish and your done. 3500 DPS (5500 with torps) in a volley every 5 seconds does the trick, remember to set drones to passive and focus fire and don't get in over your head. (If your paranoid and want extra take some faction missiles and swap out when your feeling at ease thus increasing your DPS further) Know your trigger ships in the rooms ... leave till last in there groups. Since the Quantum Rise Expansion so far all i have seen is it takes longer to complete, however there was some nice inclusions for POS manufacturing which will keep us busy for time to come. Key here it to equip the correct damage type of drones and missiles for the job, they take a bit longer to do now but are basically the same, that coming from a Permanent Tank Navy Raven with over 1000 Damage per second sustained so i can just at any L4 ... Mission running needs to be done as a group to relive the boredom, 1 x BS and 1 x Drake and a dedicated Salvager and you could make it simpler, Orca for a salvager .... now that's a thought. Something note worthy ... Guristas Extravaganza L4 all rooms including the bonus room .... 100% dead in 90 minutes, that equates to about 35 million per hour. Pity i could not draw that and Angel Extravaganza at will. Vi ... Lets see you Amarian hooded freaks do that with your disco laser show! , all you lot will do is scream out for , and yes we need to award you a medal Vi ... I got just the right one in mind too ...... Only problem is your never around to be presented it. The Orca should be sporting some healthy mining bonus's in about 10 days time as more skills were needed and a tougher tank to be resilient from the lamer gank squads. Not far off from building Freighters and the likes either, anyway thats my take on the new expansion. L8R
  13. Well the time has come, my old trusty ISDN line gets cut off first week of December and I must move to a new wireless service that i hope will be just as stable as the old faithful ISDN was for over a decade. However since i still live in the Outback i suppose i should be grateful i can even obtain an internet connection at all. As many of you know game play can be frustrating when having a 128/128k connection coupled to a ping of anywhere up to 450ms. Well that is about to change ... No i didn't move house i just got converted to a faster service, but it also has it's drawbacks as well ... SOB Sob ... my leeching days have come to a brief end for the mean time as i now have a considerably lower data amount per month, Just have to change my ways of doing things and moderate my data consumption. The new connection that will be operational about the end of the month will see me on an 850Mhz wireless system with virtually no customers on my cell compared to metro equivalents and I'm expecting speeds at a minimum to be 7MB/1MB and depending upon load on the cell bursting to 14MB/1.5MB. This will mean i will be able to cope with more bandwidth intensive games and a higher TS bandwidth as well. My latency may improve slightly however I'm expecting around the 300ms mark Texas and TS at 350ms. The downside of this latest deal is the crappy data allowance each month ... So you get a bonus in a way as i might not be around for most of the month as excess data is charged at a fucking insane 25 cents per MB, I wish they just shaped me to like 128/128 for the rest of the month so i could leech at will ... maybe in the near future when some competition comes around maybe next year. There is other bright points as there is a lot of unmetered content available also of which there game servers i will be using so this will be a bonus as well. I can D/L pay for movies and stuff like this cheaper than driving to the DVD rental shop. However I'm going to feel my throat is cut regardless, be nice to have the speed but no data allowance sorta defeats the purpose of broadband in a sense. Time will hopefully see more allowance and back to my old habits once again. The deal cam included with a 4 port GB hub gateway with a wireless hub on top. Managed to screw em for a half price deal for the first 12 months and free changeover from digital back to PSTN for my phone systems as well. The only bit i could not get them to pay for is an external antenna that i probably don't require for "Service" but if i want the speed i want to see a full 5 bar signal strength. So i will ensure i have the most stability i can, and the best possible speed by including a 15 element high gain Yagi antenna on the roof. I shall try to get a rebate for antenna installation down the track just because i consider for this cost per month for the product i should get a full signal strength not some half hearted patchy signal. Since this system is new in Australia and no competition in my area yet, you suffer a premium price however in a few years i may just have a metropolitan comparable product just in a wireless version. They predict that this service in another 12 months will be running at 30MB/5MB wouldn't that be nice .... so long as i got 500GB data allowance. Anyway there is my news for the present point in time. L8R
  14. For Kram mainly, Since you seem to have decided to obtain two HD's , Consider this next bit very carefully as what I'm going to say is very relevant toward Games only. As you already know Vista is not the preferred OS to play games upon, this is no big secret and many will dispute the actual performance differences. Different games have larger performance gains under XP. However NO ONE will say Vista is better for games. Now since your a game player ... Here is your issue , Do i move to Vista and compromise my game experience ?, Well NO keep your games upon the XP drive and enjoy the performance boost under a tweaked XP for the near future. Only leave on the XP games and your associated CORE programs. Move all your office, photochop, illustrator and associated crap to Vista. Games and regular applications on the same drive cause performance loss and games do not like running harmoniously with regular programs. Now your new drive, Vista as you wish, move all your regular rubbish over there bit by bit and fully test all is working correctly BEFORE you remove it from your XP drive, If it works fine .. If not look for a solution to your woes. As i stated before many applications do not work well on vista however another six months and your going to see a lot of change as SP1 for Vista made a huge difference to it's viability. Ok so at this point you now have your games sweet on XP and testing all the other rubbish under Vista and compiling your drive as you find all is working correctly. Make sure you install your software in the optimal fashion while compressing the drive as you go after patching or installation of anything new. The Future ... As you already are aware Microsoft has given up on Vista ... Yep as i said above Moron Edition ! , Windows 7 is due to be released in Jan 2010 .. 15 months away. This OS is essentially Vista however the core kernel is from server 2008. Since they will be using a server core this will provide more features and less frustration, this is what Vista should have been right from the start, Give the new OS 3-6 months it will surpass Vista in all facets. So now you know this, what is Vista ? ... A simple filing to familiarize you with the new OS and to get users to be better acquainted for the big jump to Windows 7 (We have herd all this before however) XP is still going to be supported until 2011 ... I wonder why hey What do you gain by moving to Vista besides a new look and slightly better performance in some applications, mainly due to the way it associates with the new hardware and it needs late gear to work properly anyway , not a whole lot. Many say that it's better and many say it's not .. In the end you need to decide for your self and only you will make the decision based on what you actually use a computer for. Remember Vista is ONLY an operating system .... not your favorite programs you use. Since it's only a filing for the next year and a bit i would find it hard to recommend anyone purchase the Ultimate package as the cost outweighs the actual benefits your going to obtain from an Operating System for such a short time. Maybe Ultimate could be seen as wasting your money since you know what the future is holding very soon. However using Vista now will give you the jump on knowing the OS when the new one arrives, Is this fact alone worth the switch ? ... This, your going to need to decide on your own, just prepare yourself properly as your frustration level could be quite high depending on what and how you use your computer. Having both OS i see as a plus in many regards but for games DX10 is pitiful and XP is better for this part which i use my computer extensively for currently, and the next year is not going to bring any super duper magic to the video front. I prefer clean fast game play (FPS) over choppy eye candy which is what you get with DX10 today. L8R
