Medic and Adder, This offer has benefits for the group as miners, No doubt about it ! Apart from an avenue to mine in low sec or 0.0 in a "Semi Secure" environment due to player numbers has distinct advantages. Not to mention ship replacement alone. One has the possibility at this earlier stage to have a gateway to higher class material thus increasing profit for both sides at the same time. While your char's train and skill up also forming a larger group with other players joining the training sector included. Not everyone is going to wish to rat the belts, However in the training sector many new budding pilots will be more than willing i assume to provide station cover for a group of miners. Gordon also offered his command ship which has potential to aid mining throughput as well, Showing us further skills benefit we can use as a group and thus increasing output for both parties. I'm sure Gordon or one of his team would be more than happy to gang us all up for mining benefits if we show organisation to mine as a group with others providing belt rat cover. Remember both sides win/win with teamwork and colaboration. I think there ship policy applies in the training sector as well where we can "Loan" mining barges and battleships for mining out the belts in a large group effort. There ship replacement program for members has great advantages also for the ones who wish to go ratting as the loss factor is minimised considerably. Progenitor still have this ship policy as there 0.0 sector as i am aware. So to sum it up mining in the training sector while you skill up and progress your battle skills has got great prospects for both parties. You could say it's a win win situation for the group and the individual, Consider the prospects as Sparta gang mining with a Command ship present? Provided ships are always the icing on the cake as well. We all need to discuss this proposal in depth and find out if it really helps us as a group as well, Gordon i think would be more than happy to have a group such as ours present and operating so efficently and would also realise the boost we would provide his training station. INTREPID CROSSING CORPORATION Well as you all probably know by now, we had a special guest join us yesterday to share his corporations aspirations about new upcoming pilots wishing to maximise there game potential. Thanks go to Gordon from "Intrepid Crossing" for taking the time to present an offer to consider joining there team for a new level to be found in Eve. Gordon spent over an hour with myself explaining the facts about what makes "Intrepid Crossing" the ... One ! Then he spent more time with you all and explained several vital points on how "Us" as Spartans could continue our tradition as a long term game community within there corporation helm for the benifit of ALL players in both camps. Mining and Missions are the main focus with the PvP sector as we advance from nooblet's to professional's with there expert guidance. We have just as much to offer them as they do for us now and into the future. Progressing to 0.0 space is not a requirement of there team either as they run a professional training and low sec secure area in 0.1 space also called "Progenitor". Gordon I'm sure would welcome our team to be permenantly based in low sec as much as wishing to watch us advance to 0.0 when we felt we are ready willing and deadly. Helping training there new players to advance while showing our skills in Teamwork and Organisation would be very much welcomed. In this thread i will be explaining the finer details of my discussion while expanding upon what you already know, Showing everyone the benefits to be had by there group allience. The rest of the players will welcome another on the crew, Hope you don't have to fight hubby for the computer to play as that will be interesting when we get to see him again. Not bad Viper .... 270k x 12 = 3.2m P/H or per 24 hr 77m (Half this at least for reality day) so say 40m.... Very short compared to mining however, but with little to no setup costs ... Might be a good cash earner while leveling up to mining. Maybe when you get up to high levels in business trade and corperate better returns might be abundant. Since you don't see many trading like this may in fact just be a fun outing.

However purchasing Isk from websites/players for real world money is ILLEGAL ! If you do this you risk having your account/s canceled !

Medic ... ever considered mining from a Battleship platform ? Gives you best of both worlds. Also a tip .... Stockpile your ore don't just sell it as your net profit after refining is way greater. If we have a very well trained refinery dood ... We all can benifit as the losses are minimal even none and only the tax is the issue then .... Maybe we could buy him his own POS Not everyone can do all .... Mining and wealth come with teamwork. L8R

Mining benefits when you work as a group either small or large. Some of us are going to be mining in lowsec and this will not appeal to most however luck can have its advantages. ( I'm even better off as most Eve players are snoozing when i am awake) This will aid me to get into the low sec areas and tank hard against rats for a while, reaping the benefits. There is money to be made in 0.6 and above just you need to have your refinery skills down pat. I do suggest one person in the group concentrate on refining skills to maxemise profit. Just don't do the old thing and jump in way above your head with a ship that is like a grenade when hit. Think safety first and consider how your going to transport this ore. I do suggest you work in groups of 3 while learning, your refinery guy also skills up for jetcaning. Anyway ... guess you will work it out hey

Ok well this is my way of doing it so you might want to compare this with Eve-Mon as i don't like there methods and predictions. It all looks cool untill your needing another level to gain something you wish to equip your ship with, This is older method but still does the same in the long term. Train your Learning Skills in this order. (If you have the lever already just move on) 01 - Instant Recall (L1) 02 - Analytical Mind (L1) 03 - Learning (L1) 04 - Instant Recall (L2) 05 - Analytical Mind (L2) 06 - Learning (L2) 07 - Instant Recall (L3) 08 - Analytical Mind (L3) 09 - Learning (L3) 10 - Instant Rercall (L4) 11 - Eidetic Memory (L1+2+3) 12 - Analytical Mind (L4) 13 - Logic (L1+2+3) 14 - Learning (L4) 15 - Eidetic Memory (L4) 16 - Logic (L4) ------------------------------------- 17 - Spatial Awareness 18 - Iron Will (This group to Level 4 in any order) 19 - Empathy ------------------------------------- 20 - Clarity 21 - Focus (This Group to Level 4 in any order) 22 - Prescence ------------------------------------- Last group take all to Level 5 as you desire. Firstly a big thank you for the Isk boost from both Medic and Cobol, This has made my choise in fitout a nightmare as soooo much gear. Ok now down to the guts ... Since all you guys are preocupied with killing i decided to go a different route and be the support cornerstone and chose my character for Electronics and Engineering with a dose of special forces and military training included. What I'll end up with is a weapons platform like no other ... I'm wanting to be stealthy, and be a right proper pain in the arse of all who come near me. This will be achieved running a tech 2 Kitsune electronic warefare frigate for battle group encounters. Now it's up to you big boys to look after poor old Mutly right !! , Coz I'm goin to be there number one meat steak on the bbq as they are not going to like me one bit. Here is the picture ... Well since you got that behemoth AMD CPU .... best to put it to good use hmmm OVERCLOCK THE SHIT OUTA IT For this you will prolly like either of these boards > Asus Crosshair or DFI LANPARTY UT NF590 SLI-M2R/G. Read up on em and start salviating coz if this wont perform join the darkside and just bin it and get an INTEL E6850 and hit 4.5ghz on air Oh !! .... rember to use decent ram like a Cruical hipo stix as AMD's dont like high ram voltage. Ok so there is my choise if you can part with the funds, And no the Asus isn't my first choise as both have similar specs and DFI have better O/C name and no rear gay panel for nooblets. However i think the Asus outmatches the DFI as the easier one to screw around with DFI can be finicky on ram brands especially. Ok L8R

Why don't you download IL2 1946, It includes "Pacific Fighters" and there are JETS ! ... Plus you can create custom missions in the editor for Coop. Failing that try "Lock On Moden Air Combat" and addons ... Lomac as it's known.

Just clone your current drive over to your new drive ... Simple solution. The program you need is Arcronis True image 10 or 11 As for cooling HDD ... mount a 92mm fan in front of the HDD if there are perforations in your case front (Not familiar with CM Stackers) Antec cases have a HDD cradels with a fan mounted in the front of cradel assembly that removes with the flick of a slide. Would be very simple to mount fans in front of HDD's anyway if you have a drill dremel and some sheet metal. You dont use the top 5.25 bays use the lower ones as case front would be perforated. If perforations just mount the fans to the case front then reattach the front panel to cover them up. As for those fancy heatpipe HDD coolers or the ones that mount to the top ... They dont work that well in the 5.25 bays. The solution i found works best in 5.25 bays is to mount in a removable rack. Place 2 racks in the bays and in it have your master in top and slave in bottom. The bonus of this system is you can turn your slave off and on when required thus saving power and heat generation, Also if like me and have several storage drives you just swap out a drawer unit and reboot with another slave drive inside ... I use alloy removable racks with 2 little 60 mm fans in them they work well for my purpose and give me flexability also, Look at the Vantec Mobile racks called Ezy Swaps. Same crowd make great external boxes for a HDD that you just plug into USB/Firewire/Esata also, The external is about half the cost of a similar external unit from Maxtor or Lacie. Your going to spend $50 insted of $5 on a Zalman ... your complete nutz !!! Why ? your wondering i say that ... read on then 1 - Your not seriously over clocking 2 - You already have case fans 3 - Looks like the vent on you GPU ports directly out rear on 2nd slot 4 - Large fan on PSU is drawing heat out of the case from top anyway 5 - Not a lot of dust present inside case Now since you know all this why not start with this and save some money 1 - Purchase a small can of silicone spray and lube all fan bearings just peel back sticker to reveil the bearing sleve. 2 - Obviously clean all fans off with a small paint brush 3 - Make sure your case fans are flowing from front to rear 4 - Remove heatsink and clean out and reattach with new paste 5 - Install some decent diagnostic tools like Everest Ultimate. More than likely your onboard diode has stopped giving the correct info ... maybe ? Now all of this will take you less than one hour and you wont have to remove the board, if you install any after market cooler you will need to remove the motherboard to attach the rear plate. Thus adding time to your goal ... And after just installing the Zalman your probably going to be in the same position you are now anyway as it might be a combination of ALL your fans under performing .... So start with as you wanted "Cheep and Easy" solution first. Then again go purchase a Zalman or better ones still like Ultra 120 or Typhoon while your there dont forget to get some nice decent Scythe case fans and a decent GPU cooler (Hr-03) and then your cooling will be complete .... then look into over clocking that old snotbox That all should keep you busy for a few hours.

Cheap n Easy ... Purchase a tube of paste ... pull off your original Heatsink and clean it out, As the fins are probably clogged up with dust and grime. Then clean your fan off and lubricate the bearing or sleve with some silicone spray reasemble add new paste to cpu block after cleaning with alcahol and you should be good to go for about $5. While your at it clean your case fans and lubricate those and your gpu as well ... be quieter and be good for another however till your sadie once again.

Yeah the ATI offerings are not up to scratch even thou they boast some great looking specs on paper. This will only have one effect in keeping pricing high and non competitive except for one area in the mid range where price/performance ATI has the winning combo. It will be interesting to see what comes in the new year as both will be developing better products and Nivida has a projected new arrival by march. The CPU market is going to hot up considerably within the next few months with new processors from both camps, This i expect to see AMD take the lower price range by storm and intel come out with there new C2D which in current tests is aimed at a sub $300 market with performance hitting 4.5ghz on air. The new quads will still be overpriced per performance boost for games, however AMD's new quads might shake this market sector right up as they are using true quad not shared performance like the current Intel quads. Early in Q1 in 08 will see a price / performance boost in both CPU camps which will make consumer purchase even more affordable, Pity the GPU market didn't follow suit and respond likewise. Here is an example , Nvidia 8800GT ... preorder was $299, If you can find one as stock levels are low until january they are now at $400 +, I'm hopeing that Nvidia get stock and outprice ATI and make there GT's sub $300. Couple that card to a new generation CPU and your on a game rig winner with 1333 fsb and the possibility of hitting almost 5ghz with decent air cooling from a duel core (perhaps a low end quad might fall close also) for a Cpu, MB, Ram and Gpu combo for under $900 US.
