  1. You did a cracking job last night, Connor. Can't believe that was your first time on ArmA, your flying was top notch. One of, if not the most level headed youngsters I've shared server time with, you're a credit to your Dad. looking forward to more of the same.
  2. I did think about it, as Forrester says, I'm already using an 8800GTS 320mb of the BFG variety. But aside from the shipping across the pond issue, I don't think my P5B supports SLi.
  3. Played around with most roles but have really settled into the AT role. Over the last couple of weeks I've been puting the SMAW through it's paces to understand what I can achieve and am now getting consistant long distance kills. Preferred loadout for the moment is DMR = 3 clips / SMAW = 3 - 4 rounds HEAA and picking up a tip from one of you guys? I drop the DMR to backpack and take a 2nd rifle. Usually the silenced G36 but also played with the MG36 for the last few nights. If there's plenty in the server then I come in as a true AT specialist but if numbers are low I take this loadout but as an engineer. That's where I get the difference in SMAW rounds, can get 4 with an AT guy but only 3 as engineer. Playing on Sparta server is really enjoyable as the core players focus on the tactical side, a huge improvement on the random servers out there. Still need to raise the bar with my flying but happy to leave that to the professionals!
  4. Interesting piece but what frustrates me with this game is the frightening accuracy the AI have when supressing. I've never expected that the AI "cheat", as it's easy to see in game that they are reacting to likely targets as you would expect. Taking cover, flanking excetera. But the number of times I have been hit, from distance with non-scoped weapons, does take a little shine off the game from time to time. Still, it's the most realistic I've played for a while and the tactics and team play are worth the occasional uber-shot!
  5. Ah, I dropped off last night just as you appeared, problem with timezones & work unfortunately. I hope the battle continued apace? That town is difficult to attack, heavily armoured but not impossible. I achieved a personal best of 7 vehicle kills, most of which were from distance, really getting used to the SMAW now but it really helped having cover fire to aid tactical withdrawls ;) Hope to get on again tonight and cause some more carnage.
  6. I'll hold out for "Virtual Paint Drying".........
  7. Not ignoring you matey, that's why I ordered it knew you'd be good for something!
  8. I've just pre-ordered this, on Amazon, for £29.99. I'll be happy at that price, maybe worth doing before it changes???
  9. You're about 15 years late and not quite right with the buyers name. In '94 Ford bought Aston Martin and put them in their "Premier Automotive Group" which already covered Jaguar, Land Rover and a few others. In 2007 Ford sold us to an investment group and last year they did the same with Jaguar Landrover, selling them to TATA.
  10. Every single Aston goes through a car wash, prior to leaving for the dealers, they are as you might expect un-marked when they leave. No need for two bucket what-nots.....
  11. Christ, some people need to get a life!
  12. Well currently running an 8800 GTS 320 OC, which plays all my current games fine, including ARMA. If ARMA 2 requires an upgrade then, it's off my shopping list, sadly. Just heard today that I'm getting shafted on my bonus that was due in April for my 2008 performance (all targets met), so not a happy bunny!
  13. If you guys are going to crank out some OGR, then count me in.
  14. I'll be up for this in a week or so, once I get easter out of the way. Really enjoying this game so far, which is a surprise!
  15. 'kinell, we all have a complex about Panic, bunny-hopping freak!
  16. You know we love you really....
  17. Our ride & handling guys say it's the best thing we've ever made. Very easy to get sideways, now just have to work out who I need to sleep with to get a weekend in one.....
  18. Cool group, this lot.......... Christ, we got suckered in with that and before we knew it, they'd dumped Krambo on us!!! But seriously, they are the friendliest bunch around, always making people welcome. So I'm sure you'll have a great time here. Maybe be you around in COD4, I think the slow & tactical pace of the Friday & saturday crouch servers might strike a cord with you. Have fun!
  19. I've had the N50 for close on 7 years and it's been superb. Makes FPS gameing a breeze, no aching hand or fumbling for the right keys. To be honest, apart from the logo wearing off and looking a bit dog-eared, it's still in gaming condition. I fancied moving up to the N52 as it has more keys to hand. Never worry about profiles as I always take my desk-top to LAN's. However, now that I'm getting the laptop, I'm thinking that will become my LAN tool and that's enough reason for getting a second gamepad of some description.
  20. Well, I can vouch for that. Amazing how girlies that wouldn't normally give you a look-in, can be snagged by a car!
  21. Well, I've pre-ordered the game. So I'd better sort out a joystick and get ready for some practise flight time!
  22. Interesting.... was contemplating an N52 TE, to replace my N50 but could be tempted to try that G13 instead. Slightly higher price, plus I'm used to the Belkin. But the G13 will go nicely with my, soon to arrive, G5 equipped XPS1530.
  23. Nope, the guy who developed the technology thought ahead and the software has certain algorithms built in to handle pallindromes such as this. From what I read it seems that the banks don't really want the tech, which for me is bizarre. So much for looking after the customer!!!
  24. Whilst the technology was patented in 98, it has never been implemented in any US state or country outside of the US. Apparently several bills have tried to enforce this technology but have all died. Given the potential for something like this, not withstanding the alert stll might not get the police to the scene quick enough to catch anyone, why would your senate (responsible body?) not pass bills of this nature???
