  1. WOW!! That is an amazing display of flight skill.... Is he doing all of that with four axes of control....?? Gyros/flight computers/thrust vectoring...maybe.....but 2 joysticks...incredible....even with vectoring that's a superlative demonstration. 'Controlled' flat spinning.....unbelievable.. ....And that Cobra stunt is just over the top.... Thanx for taking the time to hunt that one down and post it.....GREAT find! Cheers, X-Wind
  2. This patch made an enormous difference in the looks of this game on my Vista rig....thanx!
  3. Here's a visual of how my last three weeks have gone with computers: Finally got all the pieces in and assembled so hopefully will get to spend some time in COD4 before the next disaster strikes. The one positive aspect of all this is that I learned a bit about what to and, more importantly, what not to do when your computer transforms itself into a door stop. I hope everyone had a great Christmas / New Year holiday and I look forward to stopping your bullets in mid-air....one of my more popular tricks. Cheers,
  4. Ergo-friendly contour of n52: Newer version with backlighted keys: . . . . . ...On second thought why don't all you folks go out and grab one of these hot rods so we can level the playin' field just a bit:
  5. No new Nforce 680i, 780i is the future Written by Fuad Abazovic Monday, 17 December 2007 09:44 As of today We've talked to the sources very close to Nvidia and it turns out that Nforce 680i will easily go to its retirement. Nforce 780i the new chipset that is supposed to come today is the future and this one will have support for both Yorkfield and Wolfdale 45nm parts. There is currently not any plan for the new Nforce 680i that will support Yorkfield 45nm quad cores. The new 780i will also have support for PCIe 2.0 graphic cards, but so far this won?t be supported by Tri SLI, as this works with PCIe 1.0 8800GTX and Ultra cards. Nforce 780i is the future and there is a little hope that Nvidia will replace the 680i board, as Yorkfield won?t work in it. Still, this can change, so we will keep our ears open. Nforce 680i has served us well, but it?s time to say a slow good buy to this marchitecture. EVGA is offering an upgrade to their 780i board for registered owners of certain 680i boards ($89 USD) Just FYI

  12. Thanks Zeno, I use to really enjoy racing sims and still have my old force feedback wheel/pedal setup but I think it requires a MIDI interface which is no longer supported (old joystick connector prior to USB)...will have to dig it out and double check. I'll definitely look into it but due to my h/w being down it doesn't look good for me this time around. Cheers,
  13. What is this GTR2 of which you speak ?? It actually sounds like a lot of fun.....if I can get up and running in time I'd enjoy joining you but it's a long shot for me. Have a great race either way!!
  14. Here's one: What English word is nine letters long, and can remain an English word at each step as you remove one letter at a time, right down to a single letter? List the letter you remove each time and the word that results at each step...
