MH6~SPARTA~
It's amazing how it pretty much just shakes itself apart. No one was seriously injured though it's still pretty crazy to see. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5aMT9MBfZI

AlarmedBread
Wow, that just had bad idea written all over it. Why didn't they have a release on the cable that is attached to the chopper?
AJsarge
You can see the guy grab the cable and pull it into the rotors at the last bit of the video. That was the dumb idea that started it.
MH6~SPARTA~
I'm guessing (this is just conjecture), that the quick-release for the cable malfunctioned, hence the guy trying to tug it free. I have no idea whether or not this was actually the case, however. It's the only thing that even makes the littlest bit of sense though (albeit still not a whole lot). Or maybe the dude was just an idiot. Edited May 29, 2012 by MH6~SPARTA~

AlarmedBread
^Damn. It didn't look like that cable was long enough to give safe clearance to the rotor no matter what the pilot did. One would think that in case of a release malfunction, knowing how long your cable is and how tall the structure you just delivered is someone would say "Hey, we should lay this thing down if we're going to land next to it".
