Yankee~SPARTA~ Posted May 23, 2011 Share Posted May 23, 2011 I fought a fire about 2 years ago in a walmart involving a pallet of ionizing smoke detectors. We all had to get radiation tested. You would be surprised to find the actual soot yield percentage range for some of the cheaper versions of smoke detectors. Smoke detectors are one thing you should never go cheap on in your house!
