Kanima~SPARTA~
Hey guys, I've been given an opportunity to purchase either a 42" LCD monitor (Prod# 42LC2D), or a 42" Plasma (Prod# 42PC1D ). Both are manufactured by LG, about 18mths old, unused customer returns. They're up for £250 (GBP), but I need to let them know tomorrow which one I want, so obviously I don't have much time to decide. Now, i think these are a bargain so i'm deffinately going to buy one, however, i'm not a TV expert and don't really know what the differences are or best one to get. Can anyone give a bit of advice please? Ta K
Zeno~SPARTA~
Plasma is supposed to be best for films. lcd is good but you need to know the delay in ms, if the dealy is log you will get a ghost effect in the film Either way 250 quid is a bargain!!! custard~SPARTA~
Without knowing spec difficult to say mate but I would lean toward the plasma as a slightly bigger bargain, but like Z says £250 is cheap either way.
Kiwi~SPARTA~
I would say to google both & see what people say about them. Saying that, I've been told that LCD are better than Plasma, plasmas are made to last only 10,000 viewing hours, not sure on LCD but do as much research as possible in the time you nhave. One of the sites of the company I work for deals with ex display and brokered electrical good. Offers as good as this don't come along often though, K OK Research done, i'm gonna go for the plasma, it generally gets better reviews (just), and, for £250 if it's rubbish, it can go in the bedroom. Cheers guys Edited March 3, 2008 by Kanima~SPARTA~
