Bought a wireless controller

So I have eventually given in and bought an official xbox wireless controller, and a 3rd party USB receiver, I;ve tried it with Watchdogs and Grid 2 so far.

I should have taken you guys advice earlier and bitten the bullet, this is so much better than trying to use another controller. First up the controller is really very very good. Secondly I love the way that Grid 2 has native support for it with all the button guides on screen correct.

 

Loven it, £30 well spent.

So how do you guys switch the controller off after a game?

 

I had to download a small app XboxExt.exe and then drop a shortcut to it in my startup folder in windows.

You'd think so but it doesn't, at least on mine. I tend to just let it power off which tends to be after a few minutes of inactivity or if I remember, I pop the batteries out.

Just drop that exe into your startup folder.

 

Now when you press the middle button you'll get an onscreen option to power down the controller.
