I just found this out the hard way, apparently if you have to much gear, which weights a person down, and you go in the water, not to the point of swimming just a little bit in from land edge, a player will lose all their gear. A player can get the most of the stuff back, you would have to go prone in the water and try to find most of it. Which sucks for me, I lost my bag and all its wonderful gear which I was only 50m away from putting it in my tent. Shit, I should of stopped at tent first and drank last. Also Berenzino has a evac tent area now. I came across it last night. Its on the southwest side on the soccer field. That was a nice addon they put in mod. Every time I passed that soccer field I always thought it would be cool to see a evac area with tents.

I like the mod, there is zombie killing and pvp, and also alliances. Each time getting in a game a player doesn't know what he or she will encounter. Its a different style of playing, not run in there and shoot the zombies or whatever. There is a high learning curve, but once you find out what works, its a treat to play. It keeps my heart pounding all the time! Sometimes linking up with people is good, but also going solo is beneficial. A player takes in account that day or moment agenda. Everyone has their own way to survive. I tend to keep moving, I don't like to stay in one place to long. I like to get in and out of a building as soon as I can and head back in the woods. I personally like the game the way it is and hope they don't change much to it, but fix the bugs and keep improving on the gameplay.

You might also want to check this mod out for it, http://www.moddb.com/mods/revamp-mod I downloaded all the part and it has a launcher to use to select which one you should use. And it wont overwrite your vanilla game. You can use this with the DLC stuff. The balance mod makes the shields stronger and the experimentals harder to build, but when you build one they can be hard to take out. No Decal mod fixes glitches in the texture maps, without it, there will be some black triangle textures left on map after a battle.

Last night I thought I was at Berenzino and on the east coast, the while time I was on the south coast around Kamenka. The air strip I came across was Balota. A person can get turned around at night. Finally made it to the airfield northeast, it was long journey!

I was playing against easy Chinese on highway map, can't remember the name of map, 2v2, and I had a hard time with them. An earlier game with chinese proved to be good, but this one was different. Some how they had a lot of mobilized armor early on and I couldn't stop them. I can't really say this early on if it was a balance issue. I think I could of counter it with more AT stuff. We'll see how it goes, but I am not really feeling the mod to much. I like the WWII to stuff with Company of Heroes, the two seem to go hand-in-hand. Another thing, first game I played after I installed mod, it crashed on me in middle of game. Also the second level building wasn't available to me after I unlocked it. Some kind of bug. So be warned playing this mod, you might be in risk of crashing in middle of game. I don't know if that messes up a players rank.

No, I have a hard copy of the game. If the conf.ini in the steam folder changes it, then you should be good. I guess a way to test to see if it works is change the resolution. I know with hard copies of game there will be two conf.ini one hidden in the doc and other in game folder. The one in game folder won't work if you change something. Yeah it makes a different.

Some of you may know this and some of you may not, but in the config file for IL2 there are some things a user can change to get slightly better graphics from game. There are two locations of the conf.ini file, there is one in the main IL2 directory and another in (on my Windows 7 PC) your username/AppData/Local/VirtualStore/ProgramFiles(x86)/Ubisoft/IL-2 Sturmovik1946, this is the one that needs to be edited. I think I tried to adjust LandGeom=3, I think adds more geometry to landscape and takes some of the flatness out. I didn't notice anything when I turned it =3, maybe a noticeable drop in FPS. What version of IL2 do I need to play with you guys. I am going to install it and update it to 4.101 and install Ultra Pack 3.0. I will make a separate install for what ever version you guys are using. Also are you guys using any version of Ultra Pack? I have version 2 saved on my hard drive, for version IL2 4.09m.

Here is some keyboard commands that are not set in game already and you have to bind them. There are blank, so there is no worry of taking up another key. I find the ones I came up with work pretty good. Nav Lights - N Landing Lights - L Wings Fold - O Arrester Hook - H Chocks - J Canopy - K Lock Tail Wheel - D Raise Gear Manually - Q Lower Gear Manually - E Air Brake - \ These ones are more for bombers, but they still come in handy: Open Close Bomb Bay Doors - Caps lock Toggle Level Auto Pilot - Shift + A Level Stabilizer - Space

What do I need to play in the ACE server besides ACE 1.1? Can I just download ACE 1.1 to jump in the ACE server or will I need or mods? Glad to be back! Miss killing cheating AI with you guys.

Is this ACE or regular Arma II with mods?

Steam is having some amazing sales before the first of the year, everyday is something new. I just got Left 4 Dead 2 on Steams Christmas sale. Love the game and love killing some Zombies for a change.
