hi had new laptop so installed arma3 fps was ultra low 8 fps on multiplayer. laptop specs are CPU: Intel Core i7 4700MQ RAM: 16GB Kingston HyperX Genesis 1600MHz (2x8GB) SSD: 120GB Kingston SSDnow V300 HDD: 750GB Western Digital Scorpio Black SATA (7200RPM) GPU: Nvidia GTX 780M 4GB ODD: 4x BluRay ROM/8x DVD-RW Combo Drive Network: Killer Wireless-N 1202 Dual Band/Gigabit LAN/Bluetooth 4.0 so more than capable of playing the game so added no splash etc did the gpu one i read about still the same,so tried the single missions straight away 45-50+ fps running on ultra so all fixed i thought nope on servers back to 4-8 fps this stumped me for hours then realised it was using the default onboard graphics for server sided games only, so went into nividia gforce experiance 3d settings changed settings to use to use the 780m job done went into a server with high fps in the title played a pistol game 40-50 fps hope this might be of use to any one with same problems

hi thanks for replys the bit i was confused with, was due to it being a laptop and it stating in the specs about the audio with the mic and headphone jacks i thought it was dependent on that set up not the usb connection for the sound(i:e had to be jacks for the card installed) thanks hoot

hi getting back into arma 3 the laptop i just orderd has a Intel 5.1 Channel High Definition Audio + SPDIF/MIC/Headphone Jack so thinking i need a headset with mic which jacks not usb is what i need but please feel free to correct me my thinking is usb will be standard sound but jacks will be for this set up ! thanks

hi havnt played games for a long long time so i just put a order in for a laptop for game playing so now looking for a headset any views on Creative Fatal1ty Gaming Headset or something for about the same price £30 thanks hoot

thanks guys i have not got a pc only a lap top with built in graphics which will just about play tetris lol hoping to get something knocked together this year to try some new games. moved house in december so sorting it out bit by bit got myself a bigger garden(100ftx15ft) so need to make a glass house and some veg beds and best of all i got a drive so i can bloody park just finished block paving it with clay pavers hopefully be back on in a few months

thanks folks still around even at 46 sort of grown out of game playing at the moment baby takes all my time and taken up astronamy (blame me for the shite weather ever since i bought a scope) picked up a dob 200p and a few new eye pieces not much change from £500 so all i need now is a few clear nights
