  1. Just remember folks that 1 Hummer with one occupant is not a convoy. Nice work zeno.
  2. Apologies again to Bravo, Luggages decision to nominate me as squad leader, only served for us to get delayed leaving the base with the main convoy (Nice Driving AJSarge to catch them up), then separated from Alpha, then annihilated by the D30s (apologies Garza, you had no marker on the map, and where you said you were I couldn't see a body). I would offer many explanations for the poor showing, however suffice to say It's all Luggage's fault!
  3. From what I can see (and having not used RTE) it looks like VTS3 would do what is required, and RTE would not. I've set up a local host before, and spawned a Bluefor and OpFor squads. OpFor were in a small village, central road junction defending. BlueFor approaching to the junction, and a firefight ensued. Small arms, RPG's, GL's nades were all used by both sides. Bear in mind this was an AI v AI contact, but I reckon the OpFpr could give a small to medium real player squad a bit of a headache.
  4. That is the best thing I have ever seen. Collies rule!
  5. VTS3 just runs as a MP Mission, so it can run on a dedi. No idea about RTE tho.
  6. We've used VTS3 for the training that Durka organised, and I've had a play about with it. RTE looks better, tho I haven't used it.
  7. I agree with Dai on this point. What we did is have three mission scripters who would alternate missions. One way to do it is to have a number, say the three we had at GR.NET and each would take it in turn to do a mission, with the first three being ready at the same time, then the next mission would have a three week lead time. There are pros and cons with this. The cons with that is that if the mission is completed quicker than expected then there would be no more missions to run that week. The pro is that people who don't have the chance to make a certain time slot can play the mission throughout the week. I thought there was a problem with the campaign missions in MP?
  8. Happy Birthday Durka Lang may yer Lum reek.
  9. I agree, there will come a day when two designated Pilots should do all the shuttling to the AO, one lifting off as the other starts to return.
  10. Good work Zeno. I like the idea of convoy operations.
  11. What he means is that there are now two cultured, educated and debonaire members of the forum. Although as I'm from Weegieland I doubt our accents are anywhere close to each other. Welcome
  12. A few of us GR.NET did something similar a while back with OFP Gulf of Aden MP Campaign
  13. Just a reminder that Tac Dom day is nearly upon us, so all you regulars get ready to step up and lead (we'll try and give Zeno, Luggage, Durka, Dai and Custard a chance to blow some stuff up for a change) and for those who have been hanging around the US Dom Server this is your chance to try something a bit more coordinated (we hope). If your intending on joining us read the rules on the first page.
  14. I would doubt it, easiest way is to host while running the addon and get someone to join.
  15. For some reason the opening Credits of Dads Army sprung to mind. Looks good tho.
  16. I'm looking at a map of the USA and Canada, does that count?
  17. Flanking and use of Smoke would be good, and a "quick" review of the movement and formation stuff we did last time.
  18. Good fun, Castle map was intense, I missed the Forest Battles so don't know how they went. Dai, Good job with the organisation.
