Batwing~SPARTA~
Only SSD will give you an higher rate. I have RAID 0 and still gives me a 5.9 However,as we discussed on many threads here, of course SSD is blazing fast but to me is still largely overpriced when it comes to the size/performance price ratio. Furthermore I continue to read around ppl complaining for premature SSD failures (not only on Sparta forum) while one of the Strong arguments to move to SSD should be safety and dependability, not having moving parts. Aa I said on another thread I would be very pissed after a drive costing 3x would prematurely die.
PANiC
i don't think you should get a new hard drive just because of the windows experience index :/ are you having problems, or just have spare cash? i have OS and some apps on my 64GB ssd and all my games on a ~500GB raid 0 because i can't afford xxxGB hdd
Donziboy2
I have my OS drive on raptor drives on my older builds. I still use a raptor on my current gaming rig for my games. 450gb raptor for $170 600gb is $210 HLHX are the newest models. They are between the 7200 drives and the SSD. Price, performance and storage wise.
