Yoshi
I've finally got some spare time and money! So, Should I download OA from one of the many sites, or should I buy the DVD off of Amazon? Are there any differences between them?
custard~SPARTA~
If you have a disc copy of ARMAII I would get a disc copy (or D2D) of OA rather than Steam

Zeno~SPARTA~
Once you have the disc you can choose to activate the game so that you do not need the disc to play. I would go down this route.
custard~SPARTA~
Is there a difference between the disc version and the D2D version? As far as I know they put everything in the same place a disc does unlike the Steam version

MedicSN6
I'd get the Dinosaur version. Fighting the T-Rex at the end is the shit!
SirSmokalot
Depending on your ArmA 2 version really, If you have Steam stay with steam and the patching is less stressful. I have Steam version of ArmA 2 but have a "Sprocket" version of OA (that's similar to D2D or DVD installation wise, just different retailer). I'm having patching issues with 1.55 wanting to manually update my Steam ArmA 2 to 1.08 when Steam already patched it just now to 1.08. Even played in it while OA 1.55 was downloading. Grr. Seems the flag file, registry entry, or INI file that they look for doesn't coexist. So stick with whatever version of ArmA 2 you have for a symbiotic relationship. Steam? Get Steam. DVD/D2D/Sprocket? Get DVD/D2D/Sprocket IMHO. FYI Several sights stating that "Combined Operations" to go on sale for Black Friday at various retailers for about $30-35 US.
