Zeno~SPARTA~
Apparently you can get the game to recognize the number of cpu's your pc has by adding this to the command line -cpuCount=x where x = the number of processors Here is my ccommand line "C:\Program Files\Games\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\arma2.exe" -nosplash -maxmem=2048 -cpuCount=4 Dont know if this has already been mentioned. Durka-Durka~SPARTA~
May be a stupid question, but Wouldn't it do this automatically?
Zeno~SPARTA~
Possibly but then why would this command need to exist. Its all a mystery to me, lol.
Durka-Durka~SPARTA~
lol you gotta point! I just put it in my target path for the demo. Don't know yet if it makes a difference lol
Xross
The cpucount=x switch will override the auto-detection. Additional Info: Link
Zeno~SPARTA~
So really the only purpose of this command line is to stop the game from using all of the computers processing power, lol.
StevenADunn~SPARTA~
With a very high end spec, you may wantb to limit the CPUs so you can allow other stuff to run.... For example some video software like FRAPS to get some High def videos ... just a thought
Zeno~SPARTA~
Thats what I was thinking, after all why use all 16 processor to run this piddly little game. Shortly after that thought I woke up.
