MedicSN6
Very cool video, been a long time since I seen an R/C airplane. The pilot has some maddening skills. Can the Mig do this in real life?
Athlon64~SPARTA~
Oh ya It sure can, Its called the cobra mannuver. Its done at near stall speed, So The pilot has to be really skilled to do it, At the ramstine air show a few years back the mig29 preformed this, astonished all that wacthed. Xross
WOW!! That is an amazing display of flight skill.... Is he doing all of that with four axes of control....?? Gyros/flight computers/thrust vectoring...maybe.....but 2 joysticks...incredible....even with vectoring that's a superlative demonstration. 'Controlled' flat spinning.....unbelievable.. ....And that Cobra stunt is just over the top.... Thanx for taking the time to hunt that one down and post it.....GREAT find! Cheers, X-Wind
Athlon64~SPARTA~
Your welcome, We like cool stuff to! In the r/c area we call putting in gryos cheating, Most all that is done buy 4 axis= 1 throttle 2 elavatior 3 alerons 4 rudder on 2 flight sticks, The most common mode is mode 2 that has 2 sticks on the radio, left stick=controlles rudder and throttle, right stick is the flight stick= alerons elevatior. Generally the choppers have the gryos on them in order to controll them with out it would be impossible. But what fun that is once you get your wings That mig in the video will use a 9 to 14 channel radio to controll it like this That would be 1 throttle 2 elevatior 3 alierons 4 rudder 5 flaps 6 retract landing gear 7 in flight mixture controll if piston engine Here is a link to one of very good jet mfgers http://www.yellowaircraft.com/jets/index.htm And if Gaint scale Warbirds are more to your likeing then http://www.yellowaircraft.com/props/index.htm 8 landing gear brakes 9 parachute 10 speed brakes=in flight 11 drop bomb/fuel tanks Edited January 7, 2008 by Athlon64~SPARTA~

Durka-Durka~SPARTA~
Hey I'm gonna use some of those comments next time I'm flying in IL2. Durka-Durka shoots down Inimigo... "Take that! The only thing you can fly is your carrot!" wth? I thought people EAT carrots???
MedicSN6
Carrots are a good thing for pilots to eat. they help keep your eye sight good and in some cases actually can improve a persons eye sight. This would make it easier to spot Inimigo while hes in the cobra manuever. ;)
custard~SPARTA~
Please correct me if I am wrong but here goes. Carrots do not improve eyesite this myth was deliberatlly started during WWII by the British to explain why we kept spotting German aircraft and to help hide the invention of radar. Well it's what I was taught.
