Having a good time with the SP campaign so far-also d/l bogie. What are the worthwhile missions to get?

So when do I catch others with the game installed for a trial of this MP work? Is it a coop or PvP game? AI included?

I played through the first two packaged campaign missions. I can see why y'all are fans. I am now as well.

I might poke around with this thing on my kid's x-box, just to be informed of current trends. I consider it my consumer responsibility. However the game really is, I appreciate that it got the 14y/o out of bed at 6AM, ready for school in 25min! (so he could play) That's big in this house.

I know people stunned enough to pay for that-my wife, for example.

Done-installed finally. Next up, I assume there are patches I need to run? Maps to download? I'll dig through the forums here, and I welcome any handy links.

Looks like Jumpgate evolution is the only contender. I stuck my name on their UK beta test list-who knows how long that'll be until ready. Shattered Horizon-free this weekend on steam. Does that change it's suckyness? Clearly the current FPS genre is inspired by current events (wars). Was the quality of space shooters late 90s, early 00 riding on a star trek/star wars fan base, or the Int'l space station, mission to mars, etc?

Ubisoft is still releasing missions and maps for GRAW2? I think I may have to invest, just to get in touch with the SPARTA roots!

Any alternatives now that Dai-San has brought at least a couple more to the space shooter world? I don't mean Eve, but along the lines of Freespace 2. Any thoughts on the following titles? Shattered Horizon It's like ARMA in Space! Not a spaceship pilot game, but interesting. Jumpgate Evolution Vega Strike Coming up dreadfully short on the pilot/spaceshooter genre after FS2/freelancer. Other ideas?

Remapped enough to struggle through the first 2 campaign missions. Ready for more! How do you keep from drifting into big ships? I spawned in the 2nd mission right on top of some giant thing and bashed around it for a while until weakly limping away. Is there a command to turn tail and run? Also-how do you target subsystems? I have keys mapped for it, but nothing happens when pressed in the 3rd mission to disable that big evil thing. I could command wingfighters to disarm, and the ship certainly can take subsystem-specific damage (individual engines, turrets, etc), but targeting them! Otherwise I had to wait for whichever odd part shot at me before I could shoot back. I'd love to see this one graphically updated, it would help loads identifying what the hell I'm squinting at.

I'm scared enough using google for e-mail. Storing even more of my crap with microsoft just seems wrong.

Dai-got it working a few moments after you logged off. It was related to admin settings again, half of the changes we made in the launcher.exe didn't stick. The web-settings yes, but not the others. At the moment I can't remember exactly what I changed, but MP worked on next startup. I poked around in the training-that whiny Aussie instructor, little pissant, he needs to retire. Definitely will work on remapping the keys-batwing was completely right! Absolutely nutty.
