  2. Thanks for clarifying that mate because we extensively tested it in a business and home environment for 6 months and found it worked just as well as 7 but with the caveats I mentioned. Nothing works WORSE than 7 I just cannot be arsed to go looking for stuff again like I had to when they moved from XP to 7.
  3. I Wouldn't 'Touch' it with a barge pole. Unless you are severly retarded and have trouble finding the Start button on any previous version of Windows then this isn't for you. Let me put it this way, you know how with M$ Office 2010 they took all the features you used and hid them away so it took you ages to just do something simple like insert. Well 8 has done that with Windows itself now, it's there but you have to play Where's Wally first.

  5. Normally an unknown sighting is a 'Contact' until it is identified and designated as a 'Friendly', 'Opfor' etc. Even an 'Enemy' is not necessarily a 'Target'. This highlights the need for unified Comms protocols and explains why accidents can occur when forces from different nations are on combined operations. As a simple example: "Contact 327deg heading west" - Something has been spotted at compass heading 327 degrees moving in a westerly direction. As yet it is unidentified. "Contact 327deg is an enemy foot patrol, heading west" - The 'Contact' has now been 'Identified' as an 'Enemy'. As yet it has not been designated. "Enemy foot patrol at 327deg is 'Designated' Alpha. The 'Contact' now has a simple 'Designation' to make communications easier but it is still not a 'Target'. 'Alpha' will only become a 'Target' if it is deemed a mission goal, an immediate threat, or an obstacle to be removed in order to proceed. This is obviously a basic example and only one of many ways of doing this, the trick is to make ONE way the SPARTA way and stick to it.

  12. Played some games this morning and it's pretty good. Not as indepth as Mechwarrior Online but better than your run of the mill FPS.
  13. Just entered Beta phase 1 this weekend. I'm starting to get a bit confused now as i'm actively beta testing 4 games at the moment. Mechwarrior online. Hawken. WarZ. Planetside2. Trying to keep the bug lists seperate is getting interesting.

  15. If you only have 1 Medic slot then i would allow everyone the ability to heal, after all, even a lowly infantryman can provide badic first aid. But only the medic should be able to revive.

Right, this is my shortcut and I get no errors until i try to launch the mission: "H:\Games\ArmA 2\arma2oa.exe" -nosplash -mod=@CBA1;@dc;@sthud;@stmove;@podagorsk;@fastrope;@TF86;@dingor;@lingor;@mbg;@lingor_units The ones you need are the @TF86 @dingor @lingor @mbg (this is the mbg_buildings mod) and @lingor_units The mission error is because Lightspeed has used a Datsun truck from the Molatian Army Mod I suggest Lightspeed edits the mission and swaps this unit out rather than us all having to have another MOD active and uploaded to the server. Ain't ArmA grand?
