ok so i downloaded these and all was good until i tried playing an .avi file or a .mpeg file. It was really dark on my primary monitor, I havent touched the brightness or contrast or anything. I tried all sorts but the only think 2 do was to adjust the nvidia video control (something like that) and but the brightness right up, it still didnt look right so I rolled back to the previous drivers and all was fine again. Hopefully no1 else had these problems. 1 other thing it played fine on my secondary monitor. strange - might try again later though.

sounds like artefacts but you say you are not overclocking so maybe it is just knackered.

great tips guys. thanks 4 that Zeno! Just wanted strongly agree with 2 things there. The 8800 - defo wait 4 the 8900 or opt for the GTS. I have the GTS and the performance is fantastic, dont waste those extra pennies when you can EASILY OC the GTS to GTX speeds. (I have not done this as I am happy with the performance) The PSU - I have a 650w and it is moreeee than enough, there is the website 2 work out how big of a PSU you need. Another area 2 save money. With the money you have saved as mentioned you can purchase the Q6700, something 2 think about. Good luck with the build and remember we loveeeee pix! Krambo

i would luv 2 but you would not believe the shit iv had with my ISP. 13 PHONE CALLS! orange are completely useless. UK members stay away from the techincally inept customer service team. Gave them a total grilling and asked them for my MAC code and they said they are going to refund all the calls, refund this months broadband line rental and send a SENIOR engineer out 4 free. Its been so crap with no teamspeak and GRAW. I feel so behind with everything and want to get more in SPARTA! stupid frikkin exchange.
