I found this post on another forum Ok guys, I got it to work. So, here is everything I did. 1. Go to your "C:\Users\{your name}\Documents\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data" folder and open options.ini. I set the following settings: AntiAliasing = 0 DrawScrollAnchor = FirewallBehavior = 0 GameSpyIPAddress = 192.168.0.1 (make sure you use your own IP) Gamma = 50 IPAddress = 192.168.0.1 (make sure you use your own IP) IdealStaticGameLOD = High LanguageFilter = false MoveScrollAnchor = 0 MusicVolume = 61 Resolution = 800 600 Retaliation = yes SFX3DVolume = 58 SFXVolume = 53 ScrollFactor = 60 SendDelay = no StaticGameLOD = lOW UseAlternateMouse = no UseDoubleClickAttackMove = no VoiceVolume = 70 This may or may not matter but do it anyway just to be sure. 2. right click on the .exe file that launches the game (or the shortcut on your desktop), select "Properties", and set the following: -under the "Shortcut" tab set Run: Maximized -under the compatibility tab set Compatibility mode for "windows XP service pack 2" but make sure you click it and make the check mark in the box black, not grey. -then, after you do the step above, click "Run this program as administrator" and then click "Set these settings for all users" and then apply everything, ok, etc. The game should run now and the movie and sounds will play. Hi All, Great games last night. I think we should have a 24/7 passworded Tactical Domination server and a separate TS channel obviously. I have used the whisper keys in TS before with GR.net and it is not difficult to set up, excepting finding enough spare keys.

Hi Morgan, The main problem was that microsoft retired the Global server list last year so in MP no servers will show up. We tried the tool in the freelancer\exe folder (fldirectip.hta) but couldn't connect. Their are various workarounds but they seem just to show a limited number of servers and don't act like a true master server list. The only way we have got things working is through Xfire. (www.xfire.com). and adding it as a custom IP to your xfire favourites. Xfire is just really handy for joining servers or seeing if anyone is on a server without launching the game. Most of the chatting features are rarely used by the spartans You can try running the direct ip tool C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\EXE\ fldirectip.hta next time we play but you'll need to jump on Teamspeak to get the server IP and password Floyd installed the 1.4 patch (unofficial) so have Dai and I. It seems client side so you don't need it - probably. just tested fldirectip.hta and it worked! for Dai-sans server get the IP and password on Spartans Teamspeak.

Hello COD4 night needs a couple of extra maps which are quicker DLed before rather than during the game. Others know more than me about this, so they can point you in the right direction. Arma Gold edition is super cheap right around 18 bucks at amazon http://www.amazon.com/ARMA-Gold-Pc/dp/B001...5080&sr=8-1 and includes Queen's Gambit expansion. Solved The MP problem. U can connect through Xfire by adding the server to your favourites with a direct IP. I won't post my details here but I got it to show up in xfire. I think Hamachi may have been confusing it.

The demo and I assume the full game uses a data folder that take precedence over the main game folders. They just created a new pak file which they have you copy to the root directory (early versions of the mod involved copying the files into the afore mentioned data directory) the game reads the data in the new pak file, all the info was already in the demo but had been 'locked' they just made it available. They haven't hacked the exe just used ubi's own setup against them Their kung fu is strong....

A couple of guys have already got a mod for the demo which unlocks some aircraft and weapons and LAN MP and removes the ads when you exit. Here's the link http://gib.me/hawx/instructions.html
