Nod 32 is an very good product and has from what i understand as great support for updates also. The question i ask is "Do you want to pay a yearly fee" .... Even thou you don't need to ? And .... "What do you actually get for your MONEY ?" Well ... If "I" was going to pay ... I guess Nod would get the nod LOL ... However Nod also can cause issues for game players as i know for a fact several players have had to uninstall it to install a certain game ( Can't rem what games but were 1st person shooters) So as i said before above "Can be problematic". What you get for your money is a great product ... Probably the best of the paid ones in fact, However if you look at the real tests the FREE ones continue to perform just as well in the protection circle, Remember they all are only as good as how fast the updates to the new viris's are released. So in fact you could also say your at the mercy of the update team producing fixes for the latest malicious rubbish you download. Avast and AVG which are free have exelent updates almost every 2 days which in turn keep them in the top 5 in ranks, Norton has poor updates in comparison. Now as you know ... I would think NO SCANNER is perfect so having several tiers of protection is beneficial and far better protection all around, The free stuff if you know whats hot is sometimes better than the paid versions Eg Spybot and Spyblaster .... Murder Adaware and hell can't think of the name...hmmm Window Washer comes to mind , but it's another PAID program !! .... Now Guess what ?? ... Did you know a lot of the "Paid" ones are susceptable to inside trading with funds being paid to NOT REMOVE certain rubbish, I kid you not ! .... Spybot is not one and it's FREE .... So is Spyblaster. These run in the background and give you real time protection also .... Hassel free. So now you know that .... DO you wish to pay for some shit they get paid to dishonor there moto's ? Thats why many prefer the FREE ones .... Yes they work don't think they don't. The cracked versions of the paid ones are more trouble than they are worth usually ... Don't bother with this lot as your reg codes get overwritten with subsequent patches real quick. Anyway now you know a different angle, Knowledge is a powerful tool, so use this to make an informed decision and not throw your hard earned cash down the drain on a product that has great reviews because they have been paid to say so ... Nod 32 ... Is a great program and worth the money ... But it's not any better than the best Free ones in any of the major testing arenas ... So ... up to you now. Also do not just have one product ... you need 2-3 working in harmony to make sure you have the best possible chance of detecting something incoming, A-Squared is outa control with how deep it scans and what it finds ... You must be careful running this, and quarintene your favorite game trainers and cheat codes for single player games and associated stuff like those. If you rely on Winblows Firewall ... your nuts as it's a frikin dog of a program and also an utter pain to use ... Again read some trusted reviews, not just one 3-4 and see what the consensus is overall, you will soon see who gets paid, and who doesn't, and who gives high marks due to a fist full of dollars, paid to the review team also, Including bribes to make one "Stand Out" .. Ok this is pretty simple for everybody concerned .... However i have one advantage I'm BLUE to GoonFleet However for those of you who are not ...here's the tricks to save your bacon. Create bookmarks on the Ice Belts 15kls in from the farthest rock and even anchor a GSC. (If you can) Make the Warp points (Bookmarks) above the belt so you have a clear path to escape, So 5kls above and 15 kls in and anchor your GSC. When you start mining always align your ship to a SAFE SPOT you created to sit out the irritations and not be camped in a station. If you use these points and a red comes into the belt you will have time to escape if your watching and not playing with yourself. GoonFleet is attacking anyone who Hulk mines in Ice Belts, This because they use Minmatar Towers and there enemies use the rest .... Kill the Ice harvesting for the likes of BOB and you create a problem for them in reality. If your smart and not in a BLUE alliance like myself you need to set Goonies to red, To do so open buddy list and select corp ticker, Type in LWTAX and then set standings as shithouse. This will only help you if you keep your eye on Local and bail when you see a red arrive in system. Bail to your safe spot and sit it out, Or mine Ice in Minmatar space and GoonFleet will not attack your ships. 2 x players to add to your ppl to run from list are, Rex Hargrove Hareeln DO NOT PAY THEM 60m to add you to the WHITELIST !! I spoke to Rex other day and only a few of Goonies abide by the whitelist ... So in effect it's fukin useless. If you are unsure what to do to protect yourself .... Talk to me in TS. Destroyers are best for Salvage. 4 x Tractor Beams 4 x Salvage Heads Set it up for speed and bit of tank so you can jump if required, Stabs in lows also, Volume is not the issue here it's speed ... Try keeping up with myself and another in a L4 Q35 mission, 2 of us clean house in L4's. We will be in room 5 before you finish cleaning room 3 unless your on the game and have a Destroyer set up.

I would really like to know the FULL sequence of events that transpired as i can possibly offer you a solution to you woes, However i need to know HOW DEEP the rabbit hole goes If they really want you they will just Wardek your new group as well, Remember this costs them money to do, As i stated before move 15-20 jumps away and continue as usual, they need to find where you are again. However they can again "Pay" for the information. Continue to moniter there team members list !! Why your wondering ? ... Because they will suddenly grow in members who join to aid the war effort. Once the war starts they will pick up more also and even a few mercenaries to boot ... Merc's cost them money also. Know the enemy, use all your resources to keep an eye on who and where they are situated and in what gang power they are roaming and time each player is online. Keep it all in a thread so you can get information fast. Do they know the Sparta TS and Forum ? ... you want to hope not !! This thread should be hidden for Sparta trusted eyes only. Make sure no "Guests" can see this thread. You could also try a diplomatic solution but do not bribe them as they will simply take your money and hold you to ransom again, If they have lots of money to waste each week Dekin you well this could be a 4 month long road you travel. My Advice also is to REMOVE your BASE away from near Jita as many noob's get wardek'd there. Find a nice quiet spot like Uitra (Where my base was dead end 4 jumps out of Jita) However this might not be a good idea as only one gate to camp for them 23/7 Play it cool and calm ... Try not to get into a firefight as you will be out gunned if they are organised, and make them work hard and have no fun watching and waiting to hopefully get one of you here and there. I suggest you also create a bookmark in systems you frequent most on the fringes so you have somewhere to run to if they have a gank squad on a gate, Also keep in a fast ship so they cant scram you before you make it to warp inside a gate. Sorry to say i WILL NOT be offering any of you missions while your Dek'd, as soon as you join my fleet I'm a target also and don't need any of this coming back on my corp. Ok here is some constructive ways to protect yourselves. Present Corperation 1 - Fly around in average ships you can afford to loose not that big BS 2 - They will try to gank you solo not as a group 3 - All fly to another area and open a hanger there and resume your corp services (20 Jumps) 4 - Do not operate around your main corp hanger in New Caldari ... They be waiting for you. If you move area they have to find you, If they are smart which i doubt, they can find you easy using the right agent but are they smart and do they have the money?. Exploring another sector is not such a bad idea either and also have several hangers Now would you like to have some fun with them ? ... I bet you do ! Open another corporation with the same name just a slight variation that you can hardly pick. All go and join this corporation so in 24 hr Concorde will protect you again Your present corp Ceo you get to resign and in place you place an Alt in the CEO chair to keep corp open. Then you make a new corp with similar name you can fly freely in this corp and you might get lucky and see one of the tossers attack your player name and get instant concord dead ! Meanwhile you just cruise around having fun again also hopeing the morons are stupid and not the brightest bulbs in the pack. Remember you can also have another trial account to taunt these guys further with similar player names as well. Use you brains guys and you will make fools of these tossers I'll continue to run missions for you if you want as I'm not concerned about them at all, they attack me they get concorded to hell ! and let them WarDek my corp ... will cost them a pretty penny to do that and we have pilots who will return from 0.0 simply to kick there butts every moment of the day. Duno about that Drake setup as the recharge is slow and having more HP won't save your butt My Drake is FULL PASSIVE no need to worry about being Nos'd or Neut'd Mids 2 x Large Shield Extender II 4 x Specific Resists swappable as per mission specs. Resists you will need are ..2 x Magnetic Scattering Amp II , 2 x Kinetic Deflection II , 2 x Heat Disarpation II With the right resist skills puts you over 80% resist. Lows 4 x Shield Power relay II Rigs 3 x Core Defence Field Purger I Gives you way better resists and faster recharge 185 sec to full as a boot. I have been in L4's Q-18+ with 1 other BS and we complete missions. As you have seen i can tank a L3 all day by myself .... Nice to watch me getting hit hey. NOW !! note this ... Your still vulnerable like anyone if your attackers outnumber you past your tank, When in a mission upon warp align yourself to a moon , planet star gate or anything and move at 5m/s to it so you can warp out fast. Also consider the frigs who will scram and web you ... Kill those FIRST ! Don't agro too many groups at one time .... USE your melon !! No matter how good your ship may appear your skills WILL compliment it in the areas of Shields and Armor .... Guns mean diddely squat if you can't survive long enough to warp. Use your melon and warp out if your Shields get to 20% and your not holding tank, FOR GOD SAKE tell your team your warping as your agro will go to them and it might just place them in danger after you bail on them. Well set up Caldari Drake will cost you 150m, you can do any missions even L4's if you use the grey crap in your melon !. I take my Drake on L5's Q 18+ and I'm still alive to tell the tale Ok hope this helps you out. You don't need active tank on a Drake for ratting n missions, Reserve your active for PvP. L8R Edit for Viper's knowledge book Viper - You wont get 17k Shields with that setup above 15k with max skills. To get 17k you will need 4 x Large Shield Extender II, then you would fit an Invulnerability Field II and a specific resist, Probably a Magnetic Scattering Amp II (EM dmg) However if you do like this and your cap drained your toast, no resists and no warp = YOUR DEAD !! This is an Active setup and must be watched and you need to know your ENEMY ! I also don't recommend Heavy missile II .... Your setup is flawed you wont have CPU or Grid to sustain that setup. Best missiles for a Drake are Abelast Heavy Launcher I but at 15m each is exotic to say the least, I use XR 3200 which are only 0.5 sec slower fireing and with the right Skills faster than some schmuck who has no skills I doubt you would be able to get 7 on it with your setup either even with skills at L5 ... 6 max if your lucky. (I have 7 XR's on my Drake + Small Shield Transfer Array)

Zeno, Lookie in your Vid card advanced section and make sure you have the right aspect and res ratios to suit that huge behemoth screen, You should be able to set it up almost perfect. BTW looks nice and hopefully will make your movie pleasure better. Noise, If it's fan noise on vid card consider a passive heat sink and toss the fan, If it's case fans look for low RPM Scythe fans they are almost silent or use a fan controller and lower the rotating RPM, Same with Cpu fan after market silent type. Now if the low noise fans are still too loud i can give you some tips on cutting the turbulence down further all you will need is some sandpaper and a knife and some spare time. you can also spray the inside of the box with some contact and place Sound mats on all sides to reduce noise further. Also adjustment of the volume will overcome the fan noises Nice gear ... L8r Zeno

Don't wish to be negative Kram ... But Unix/Liniux is way over your head if you have had no prior use of those systems. The stuff you need for "Essential" your not going to learn in 2 weeks from a pdf. Myself i would approach it another way and find a Night course in Unix and enroll, Thus you can be truthful on your application and say "Your Learning" and your "Prepared to further learning". Meanwhile hope like hell they see your good points for the XP , Winblows shit they want also, You will need to be up to snuff vista also and things like orriface 2008 .... not last years version as many things are different. Again not trying to be negative, Give it your best shot and hope you get the position, but don't be discouraged as you can train for Unix and leave the door open for this position again in say 12/18 months time. Playing for free ... 1 month GTC is 175m and a 3 month GTC is 400m Now you say 7 accounts .... 1 month is approx 1.2b Or .... If your smart do it for a 3 month term. Because 3 months x 7 will cost you 2.8b. Now since your all cashed up ... might be wise to look for 3 month GTC's instead. When you look at it from this perspective also, 1b isk is $54 us ... Will get you 2x 90 day Gtc's and a single 30 day Gtc. Those 3 codes would in fact cost you in Shattered $95. So purchasing Isk is best if you don't have 2.8 bill around. (Besides you can get sets of +4 mellon plants with a 2b purchase at $110 .... going group buy is $15 each, Sell your Implant set and your prolly 600m short of 7 x 90 day Gtc's . See my maths L8R

Don't waste your time salvaging belt rats .... Do a L3-4 mission and zip through it, 2 BS is all you need and have 2 salvagers in lower ships. Four in the group, the 2 bs tank the agro and the 2 smaller warp in after agro is held. Then on the 2 salvagers fit say 1 tractor and 1 salvager and as the wrecks become available tractor em in and do your stuff, While fireing on targets and helping the BS guys kill. Doing it this way you will skip through a L4 in about 1-2 hr and make good isk .... better than mining. A group of 4 is all you need, 2 x Tanks and 2 x salvage n tractors with missiles as well. Rem to kill the small ships FIRST !! ... they are the ones to Jam n Scram your butts not the Cruisers or Bs's . Ok have fun

Zeno, One can venture out to 0.0 solo .... just need to have your wits about you and a plan when it all starts going south. Actually a solo is more viable as your not an imposing threat to any Alliance who's territory you might be scrapping. Killing belt rats in 0.0 is pretty simple and rewarding. It just gets ugly when a PvP guy wants you dead ... Then the "Circle Work" as i call it comes into play and if you do it right you will frustrate this guys to no end and he will just piss off and give up on you. Then your back free to do as you want again. Myself ... Solo in 0.0 is best as a group attracts attention you don't want. L8R

Just because I'm in a different team to the Sparta players, means diddely squat ! They won't attack me in Empire space as Concorde will fry them faster than you can say FooK ! Eve players will one day have to take this plunge to gain the benefits of 0.0 if they wish to mine and make money, If mining and making money in 0.0 is not the wish of the player then it will not be required at all. This simply provides you the means to survive in 0.0 without having to endure the severe loses of ships on a low scale group trying in vain to expand to 0.0. This is not going to change anything as i see for Sparta. For those who don't play Eve it's no different. Joining has both benefits and detractions the player as an individual has to weigh up the options and decide what is best for there game style and overall wish in the future. It's like this for me here is the maths, Empire - Do 15hr mining of X material - Sold for Y and profit per hour = Z (Z=1mill ok) 0.0 Do 15 hr mining fo X material, minus 3hr worth to clan, Sold for Y (-tax) to come to Z profit which will be A x more per hour than your 1mill. 1 hr in 0.5 space will make you 300k ... 1 hr is 0.0 will make you 25mill + (Clan supplies all your ships too) So as you can see working in 0.0 has it's advantage to simply make Isk. I want to make Isk like everyone else so i can convert Isk to Game Time Cards and play for FREE each month ... Simple is it not. Working in low sec space with just Sparta players will be very risky as ships will be attacked by clans and losses will be probably up to 60% of your take when replacing your gear ... Makes it not worth the effort as you just end up in a circle. In the clan you have Fighter patrols in the sectors covering your butt all the time. This clan has 1100 members in the group ... They own there own refining and industry stations and defend them ... Guess they are doing something right hey. So to sum it up i mine in security for lets say 60 hr per month + to get my game card or I mine in 0.0 for 1/10 the time to make the same ... Easy to decide then is it not. This is what draws me to joining a group like this for playing Eve. Does not mean you get rid of me here at Sparta ... However if you don't want me around because i joined please let me know and i will simply fuck off without problems. I'm not trying to split Sparta or anything like that of the sort. Hi Zeno, I will answer those questions for you, In a very simple way also. 1 - Yes, Only in Eve. 2 - No, Your game name stays as you make it , EG "Zeno -SPARTA". 3 - Yes, Again for Eve only they don't play other games. Now i can see where your going with this, I do however suggest you get with me or medic for 5min on TS so i can explain how this helps your player survive in 0.0 ... Because lets face it your survival in 0.0 is very limited as a solo runner or a small group, this is the draw card to fighting for a large team. If you have no desire to operate in 0.0 space well this isn't needed. This game is based about making money and 0.0 is where the money is located. Empire is like swimming in the kiddie pool.

Viper, Sounds like your initial goal is on track still .... That's great m8 For myself and Medic, We want the extra security from the gank squads to mine freely for as long as possible without having to jump and freight and be constantly harassed in low sec. Our plan is still on track like yours is ... Just if this works out we will make better Iskie's for less time involved and that was the main drawcard, We also have the option to back out with grace and many new friends also. So what we have entered into is not much different that your plan as stated. Except for the fact we have a command ship and freighter pilots and station battleships on hand from other players. Thus our throughput will be more per hour than your going to gain unless you can find a nice quiet sector for yourselves. Plenty of time to Explore and do all that stuff .... For us we just are based in another sector with more players in the same team of which not that many are mining hard like we will be. Maybe you might drop by and kill a few rats for us also Vi ...
