  1. Hey guys, what's the current TS IP? The main & backup don't work for me?
  2. Rocky Mountain Oysters??? Had them in Denver and regardless of origin they were pretty good!
  3. That's not essentially true. The invite is open to everyone but I appreciate that logistics might mean my Redneck cousins (Durka ) can't make it. Having said that, anyone who finds themselves in the UK, more importantly England, at the end of August is soooo welcome to this! I have also located the foremost longbow maker in the UK and the stag party could consist of some very serious Arrows........ and English Beer, no foriegn crap allowed!
  4. The party will be in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. J3 of the M6, so easy-ish to get to. There will be a follow up party in Birkenhead (Kate's current location) 3 - 4 weeks after the fact. And, daft as it sounds..... LAN party is top of the list for a stag party theme!
  5. Ahh well, if only I could post a picture . . .. . . . .
  6. Yeah right, he was a "skills" lecturer. I guess the closest I could get with a US version is a "shop teacher"? . Metalwork, building etc?
  7. She is, by that you of course meant attractive & big hooters! . . . . . . . Which would be an accurate description!
  8. Something tells me, with a little effort, this could turn into one hell of a thread!
  9. Well, I've been around this place for a while now, consider it a 2nd (virtual) home, so I figured I should spill the beans! I am getting wed on August 28th to the love of my life, Katharyn Price. Not that over-inflated media-whore but the real deal! I first met Kate in the twilight of my youth, at 19 when she was 16 and we spent 3 & 1/2 half glorious years together. Amongst other things, Kate saw me into & out of the Military Police..... fuck! even I'd run away from that!!! Things didn't work out (for what turned out to be the daftest of reasons) and we were apart for 19 years. In that time, I married, had two beautiful daughters & discoverd my wife "batted for the other team" Anyhoo, for those resident this side of the pond and within staggering distance, I offer an open invitation to come and join us to celebrate the best, god-dammed day of my very simple life!
  10. Right then..... 250gm white fish - any will do 150 gm smoked fish - natural not chemical 1 medium leek 3 medium sized mushrooms - half egg sized handful of broccoli 2 tablespoons sour cream 250ml milk - for pie. extra required for mash 3 large potatoes - fist sized butter salt pepper Grated cheese - optional, flavour to suit. Peel & boil the potatoes, once soft mash with butter & a little milk. Pour the milk into a pan & bring to steady simmer. Chop the fish into bite size chunks , add to the milk and poach for 5 minutes. Slice the white section of the leek and cut the broccoli into small pieces. Peel and finely slice the mushrooms. Once the milk begins to foam, add the leek, broccoli & mushrooms. Season with salt & pepper and add the sour cream. Continue to simmer for around 8 - 10 minutes, stir occasionally to prevent sticking and check. The broccoli should be a vivid green and firm to touch without being solid - squeeze between finger & thumb, looking for a little spring back. Spoon into a flat dish, lasagne type 2 - 3" deep, adding enough liquid to give moisture without swamping the filling. Then spoon over the mashed potato, flattening with a fork. Sprinkle the grated cheese and place in a pre-heated oven at 180c for 20 minutes. This is my take on a traditional English fish pie. Contents can vary to suit, I occasionally add prawns to suit my kids. I find less liquid, to give a stiffer end product works out best and it goes well with a strong vegetable, such as Kale. My cooking is amatuer, my desire is great and the results haven't been bad so far. Idan's Hummus is on the cards for the weekend and I reckon my fiancee will be bowled over!
  11. Right.......... must dig out Watchman's fish pie.
  12. Same here, just plugged it in and away it went!
  13. Well, fuck-a-doodle-doo! That sure looks like a game down the pan for me!
  14. Same here, it was original Ghost recon that got me into gaming (stil reckon it's one of the best MP games ever) and I bought GRAW1 & 2 as a result. SP was fun and MP was bearable. I'd be happy with Arma quality graphics and original OGR gameplay, updated on a new slicker engine. Would honestly prefer no vehicles too, keep to hoofing it around.
  15. It's why I focus on Arma2 now, I've had enough off run & gun, high kill rates. I want to feel like I've achieved something, stayed alive and contributed to the team. The teenies can have their MW2, MAG and whatever, I'll stick with what i like.
  16. Muslim suicide bombers in Britain are set to begin a three-day strike on Monday in a dispute over the number of virgins they are entitled to in the afterlife. Emergency talks with Al Qaeda management have so far failed to produce an agreement. The unrest began last Tuesday when Al Qaeda announced that the number of virgins a suicide bomber would receive after his death will be cut by 20% next January from 72 to only 60. The rationale for the cut was the increase in recent years of the number of suicide bombings and a subsequent shortage of virgins in the afterlife. The suicide bombers' union, the British Organisation of Occupational Martyrs (or B.O.O.M.) responded with a statement that this was unacceptable to its members and immediately balloted for strike action. General secretary Abdullah Amir told the press, "Our members are literally working themselves to death in the cause of jihad. We don't ask for much in return but to be treated like this by management is a kick in the er um ah teeth." Mr. Amir accepted the limited availability of virgins but pointed out that the cutbacks were expected to be borne entirely by the workforce and not by management. "Last Christmas Abu Hamza alone was awarded an annual bonus of 250,000 virgins," complains Amir. "And you can be sure they'll all be pretty ones too. How can Al Qaeda afford that for members of the management but not 72 for the people who do the real work?" Speaking from the shed in the West Midlands where he currently resides, Al Qaeda chief executive Osama bin Laden explained, "We sympathise with our workers' concerns but Al Qaeda is simply not in a position to meet their demands. They are simply not accepting the realities of modern-day jihad, in a competitive marketplace. Thanks to Western depravity, there is now a chronic shortage of virgins in the afterlife. It's a straight choice between reducing expenditure and laying people off. I don't like cutting wages but I'd hate to have to tell 3,000 of my staff that they won't be able to blow themselves up." He defended management bonuses by claiming these were necessary to attract good fanatical clerics. "How am I supposed to attract the best people if I can't compete with the private sector?" asked Mr. Bin-Laden. Talks broke down this morning after management's last-ditch proposal of a virgin-sharing scheme was rejected outright after a failure to agree on orifice allocation quotas. One virgin, who refused to be named, was quoted as saying "I'll be buggered if I'm agreeing to anything like that........it's too much of a mouthful to swallow". Unless some sort of agreement is reached over the weekend, suicide bombers will down explosives at midday on Monday. Most branches are supporting the strike. Only the North London branch, which has a different union, is likely to continue working. However, some members of that branch will only be using waist-down explosives in order to express solidarity with their striking brethren.
  17. +2, finally ordered shift today, should be here for the weekend!
  18. Bugger, your replies are what I expected sadly! I've been running 64bit Win7 on my desktop since October and thoroughly impressed with it, was just being lazy getting it onto my lappy. Will finally get to use the 4gig RAM that was installed too. Cheers Guys.
  19. Finally decided to upgrade my laptop at the weekend. It was running 32bit Vista, as installed by Dell and I wanted to go the upgrade route so I could avoid re-installing programes, drivers etc. However, it would only let me upgrade to 32bit Win 7, which I did. Does anyone know if I can now jump from 32bit Win7 to 64bit Win7, as an upgrade, or will I end up having to do a clean install?
  20. I was surprised to discover that the Mustang was designed and developed by NAA for the RAF, who had asked them to make the Tomahawk under license. NAA said they could develop a new plane quicker than setting up a facility to copy the Curtis built Tomahawk.

  22. Nothing better than seeing these old planes fly. I fortunate, in that where I live I routinely get to see the Battle of Britain flight during the summer months, flying off to various shows. To see a lancaster, Hurricane and Spitfire in the air really makes me proud. And the sound of a Spitfire, there's nothing to beat it!
