Durka-Durka~SPARTA~
We're getting our first living Medal of Honor recipient pretty soon. From my early reading on this, since I just found out, his name is Staff Sergeant Sal Giunta of Battle Co. 2nd BN (ABN) 503rd INF. If I'm not mistaken, the 503rd used to be a part of the 101st, but was given to the 173rd Airborne, who has had some major major accomplishments in Afghanistan in the past few years. If you want to know who the current embodiment of the Band Of Brothers is, it's the 173rd. Here's an article about him, but I haven't read the whole thing, but it's the only article I could find to link to.... http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/06/30/AR2010063005346_2.html?hpid=topnews Some friends said his actions were illustrated in a new book out called War. It just might be worth the read. http://www.amazon.com/WAR-Sebastian-Junger/dp/0446556246/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1278044606&sr=8-

DeltaSierra
I'm reading War right now, it's a good book. As for ssgt giunta, there's no questioning his being a hero, however I bet if you asked him he'd say all the soldiers over there are heros.
