Batwing~SPARTA~
Hi all, suggestions welcome I am on the market for a decent 2.1 speaker set, giving a decent surround effect and solid bass. It doesn t have to bee too powerful but once again decent. I am Logitech big fan. I would keep it on a price range 100 - 150 bucks, somewhat flexible. Let me know what you think Thanks
Batwing~SPARTA~
Making some search, I found this one: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002SQ2P2/ref=as...ag=cnet-4107-20 Anyone has experience with it to tell me how it sounds? Thanks
Yankee~SPARTA~
Honestly, you can find 5.1 speaker sets out there that will blow you away for that price. The speakers you have listed there are decent (200 watts). But, when i bought my computer about 2 years ago I picked up a set of logitech G51 5.1 speakers for about 150 bucks from newegg. Hunter~SPARTA~
Anyone has experience with it to tell me how it sounds? Those are the speakers I have. Personally, I am quite impressed with them. Although I only use them for listening to music and watching movies. If I'm playing a game, I plug in my G35 headset. Not because games don't sound good on the speakers, but because my mic is on the headset. So I can't tell you how well they work for in-game audio. I can say they are extremely loud, though. If you have any other more specific questions, let me know. - JHunter
Batwing~SPARTA~
Thx J well, the only question i may ask you is how the surround sound works with movies. If is pretty good, I would assume it would work good with games too. Thank you very much.
Hunter~SPARTA~
Well, logically you can't get "true" surround sound with a 2.1 system. That being said, yes they still do a nice job of properly channeling the audio, giving a simulated surround sound experience. - JHunter
